This was my first bike in "adult" life. With it I did my first cycletour, to Einstein's house, a trip to Washington DC, and a quick trip around on 9/11/01.

Late 90's 22" Iron Horse Outlaw frame and fork, with the stock 1" threaded stem. Gear-inch range is 22.8 to 113.5.

Wheels are 36 hole Salsa Semi rims, Shimano LX hubs, (both front and rear are quick release type), with a Suntour 11 - 32, 7 speed cassette, both front and rear assembled by me, after some broken spokes on the original wheel. Tires are Avenir 26 x 1.5 Kevlar belted, with Mr. Tuffy thorn strips inside both.

Cranks are stock 175mm, the ones which came with the bike. Chainring sizes: 48/38/28.

Chain is a standard Sachs, with an SRAM powerlink for easy removal.

Shifters are SRAM MRX, (original equipment on the bike).

Brakes are Tektro V-Brakes, brake handles are stock.

Derailers are Shimano SIS in the rear, Sunrace in the front.

Seat is a Koobi SI, the chromed steel seat post which came with the bike was useless, and was switched out for an aluminum one.

Handlebar I don't know. I can't read the make as there's a handlebar-bag mount system covering the name brand, but it's an aftermarket aluminum riser type. Grips are the stock rubber ones.

Rear Rack Topeak Explorer.

Vetta RT77 model cyclocomputer.

Fenders are the Esge- SKS plastic/ aluminum type.

Bags: Cannondale handlebar bags, both large and small, rear rack trunk is a Trek model, panniers are Ortlieb Bike Packer Light, front and rear.

Accessories: Nashbar combination compass/ bell, headlight is a Cygolite Nite Rover water bottle model, Taillight is a Cateye red blinkie, generic water bottle cages, generic (toe clip) pedals, Topeak underseat wedge pack holds spare tube and tools, Wrench Force dual action air pump, Greenfield rear triangle mounted kickstand.
