Connecting Through Health Needs * Institutional Chaplaincy Program: Ordained Pastors are available to provide Lutheran Institutional Chaplaincy in the Southwestern area of Michigan. The Parish Nurse will assist with specific visitation of individuals as needed. Please call 454-3655 during office hours or 954-8655 for more information or assistance. * Parish Nurse Program: A registered nurse with special training in parish nursing, functions as a liaison between the Church and health care providers. The objective of the Parish Nurse program and the Board for Human Needs is to help meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the congregation and the surrounding community. This is done by working with the Pastors and communicating through bulletins, news letters, prayer chains and by simply being available to assist people. Services being provided include: a. Senior Enrichment Series b. Health and wellness education for all ages c. Blood pressure screenings on Sunday morning d. Home and hospital visits e. Flu shot clinic f. Resource library on health topics g. Referrals to community resources h. Health counselor i. Facilitation of support groups g. Praying with and for people |
