The Sword of Christ's Mouth on Earth

Jesus has given His sworn oath, an oath that He cannot go back on, that He will not forgive anyone bound to sin by Apostolic Successors. Even if St. Peter, and Apostolic Successors, themselves are not standing at the pearly gates, their binding and loosting of sins on earth, the 'the keys to the Kingdom', will be at the pearly gates allowing in or locking out.

St. Peter, our succession of Popes, does not need any earthly king, dictator or president's help to enforce Jesus' law on earth. St. Peter, our Apostolic Successors, have Jesus backing them up from heaven with the deadliest weapon on earth or in heaven. It is through Jesus' chain of command that Jesus wills His Church and 'the nations' to be ruled and shepherded with the iron rod of His mouth. Jesus hands the sword of His mouth, which is the 'keys to the Kingdom', over to Apostolic Successors and wills them to use it to rule, shepherd and protect His Church on earth.

Anathema

..."To understand the word anathema", says Vigouroux, "we should first go back to the real meaning of herem of which it is the equivalent. Herem comes from the word haram, to cut off, to separate, to curse, and indicates that which is cursed and condemned to be cut off or exterminated, whether a person or a thing, and in consequence, that which man is forbidden to make use of."...

...but anathematized, and that he may be stricken by the sword of Heaven"....

..."Know that Engeltrude is not only under the ban of excommunication, which separates her from the society of the brethren, but under the anathema, which separates from the body of Christ, which is the Church."...

..."If, after having been deposed from office, he is incorrigible, he should first be excommunicted; but if he perseveres in his contumacy he should be stricken with the sword of anathema; but if plunging to the depths of the abyss, he reaches the point where he despises these penalties, he should be given over to the secular arm."...

...In passing this sentence, the pontiff is vested in amice, stole, and a violet cope, wearing his mitre, and assisted by twelve priests clad in their surplices and holding lighted candles. He takes his seat in front of the altar or in some other suitable place, amid pronounces the formula of anathema which ends with these words: Wherefore in the name of God the All-powerful, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, of the Blessed Peter, Prince of the Apostles, and of all the saints, in virtue of the power which has been given us of binding and loosing in Heaven and on earth, we deprive N-- himself and all his accomplices and all his abettors of the Communion of the Body and Blood of our Lord, we separate him from the society of all Christians, we exclude him from the bosom of our Holy Mother the Church in Heaven and on earth, we declare him excommunicated and anathematized and we judge him condemned to eternal fire with Satan and his angels and all the reprobate , so long as he will not burst the fetters of the demon, do penance and satisfy the Church; we deliver him to Satan to mortify his body, that his soul may be saved on the day of judgment."

He who dares to despise our decision, let him be stricken with anathema maranatha, i.e. may he be damned at the coming of the Lord, may he have his place with Judas Iscariot, he and his companions.

So why would Jesus empower His Church leaders with the great weapon of His mouth, the power to bind men to sin, which is a spiritual death weapon? Why do good men bear physical weapons? To protect those they love. Jesus armed His Church with His own sword to be used to protect His Bride the Church whom He loves. Rather than let the actions of evil doers temp the whole body of His people into sin and damnation, Jesus instructs His Church leaders to use the sword of His mouth to 'cut off' and throw into hell those who lead the body of His people into apostasy and damnation.

The beauty of the sword of Christ's mouth is that, when wielded on earth, it is totally reversible. On earth, any sinner struck down by an Apostolic Successor's use of the sword of Christ mouth, holding sins bound, still has the option to repent and go to Apostolic Successors to receive healing from an Apostolic Successor binding. Apostolic Successors have the Christ given power to hold sins loost, the Church Sacrament of Reconciliation, which heals those who repent of their sins. By the Power of Jesus sworn oath, Jesus commissioned His Church shepherds with the power to bind and loost sins equal to His own power to do so. In this way Jesus shepherds His Flock with the 'iron rod' of His mouth through His Priests on earth.

The sword of Christ's mouth, the power to bind men to sin, is already presently on earth in the Church Power of Anathema. In the future battle of Armageddon, fought on earth, it is the sword of Christ's mouth which defeats Satan. Just who, where and how the weapon of Christ's mouth will be deployed is still a mystery to us. Do we have any ideas? Yes!

Revelations Battle at Armageddon, Archangel Michael's battle with Satan, and the angel coming to earth to hurl the dragon into hell, are all very similiar. They could all be prophesizing the same future event. All three use the sword of Christ's mouth, which is the 'keys to the Kingdom', to hurl Satan into hell. In all three Christ and His troops are victorious. All three seem to indicate there is time on earth after these conflicts meaning these battles are not the Second Coming of Christ, doomsday, or, in other words, the end of the world.

Why look at Apostolic Successors when studying works of Christ's Apocalyptic Angels of Armageddon? Because Jesus armed Apostolic Successors with the Sword of His Mouth, Anathema, the weapon of Christ's great Combat Angels of the Apocalypse.

NAB REV 19:11 The King of Kings.

The heavens were opened, and as I looked on, a white horse appeared; its rider was called "The Faithful and True." Justice is his standard in passing judgment and in waging war. His eyes blazed like fire, and on his head were many diadems. Inscribed on his person was a name known to no one but himself. He wore a cloak that had been dipped in blood, and his name was the Word of God. The armies of heaven were behind him riding white horses and dressed in fine linen, pure and white. Out of his mouth came a sharp sword for striking down the nations. He will shepherd them with an iron rod; it is he who will tread out in the winepress the blazing wrath of God the Almighty. A name was written on the part of the cloak that covered his thigh: "King of kings and Lord of lords."...

...REV 19:19 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth, and the armies they had mustered to do battle with the One riding the horse, and with his army. The beast was captured along with the false prophet who preformed in its presence the prodigies that led men astray, making them accept the mark of the beast and worship its image. Both were hurled down alive into the fiery pool of burning sulphur. The rest were slain by the sword of the One who rode the horse and all the birds gorged themselves on the flesh of the slain.

NAB REV 14:12

Here is what sustains the holy ones who keep God’s commandments and their faith in Jesus.

I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” said the Spirit, “let them find rest from their labors, for their works accompany them.”

Then I looked and there was a white cloud, and sitting on the cloud one who looked like a son of man, with a gold crown on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. Another angel came out of the temple, crying out in a loud voice to the one sitting on the cloud, “Use your sickle and reap the harvest, for the time to reap has come, because the earth’s harvest is fully ripe.” So the one who was sitting on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.

Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven who also had a sharp sickle. Then another angel (came) from the altar, (who) was in charge of the fire, and cried out in a loud voice to the one who had the sharp sickle, “Use your sharp sickle and cut the clusters from the earth’s vines, for its grapes are ripe.” So the angel swung his sickle over the earth and cut the earth’s vintage. He threw it into the great wine press of God’s fury. The wine press was trodden outside the city and blood poured out of the wine press to the height of a horse’s bridle for two hundred miles.

NAB JOE 4:9

Declare this among the nations: proclaim a war, rouse the warriors to arms! Let all the soldiers report and march! Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears; let the weak man say, “I am a warrior!”

Hasten and come, all you neighboring peoples, assemble there!(Bring down, O Lord, your warriors!) Let the nations bestir themselves and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; For there I will sit in judgment upon all the neighboring nations.

Apply the sickle, for the harvest is ripe; Come and tread, for the wine press is full; The vats overflow, for great is their malice.

NAB REV 20:1

Thousand Year Reign. Then I saw an angel come down from heaven, holding the key to the abyss and a huge chain in his hand. He seized the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil or Satan, and chained him up for a thousand years. The angel hurled him into the abyss, which he closed and sealed over him. He did this so that the dragon might not lead the nations astray until the thousand years are over. After this, the dragon is to be released for a short time.

NAB REV 12:5

She gave birth to a son--a boy destined to shepherd all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was caught up to God and to his throne. The woman herself fled into the desert, where a special place had been prepared for her by God; there she was taken care of for twelve hundred and sixty days...

...Then war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels battled against the dragon. Although the dragon and his angels fought back, they were overpowered and lost their place in heaven. The huge dragon, the ancient serpent known as the devil or Satan, the seducer of the whole world, was driven out; he was hurled down to earth and his minions with him. Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have salvation and power come, the reign of our God and the authority of his Anointed One. For the accuser of our brothers is cast out, who night and day accused them before our God. They defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; love for life did not deter them from death. So rejoice, you heavens, and you that dwell therein! But woe to you, earth and sea, for the devil has come down upon you! His fury knows no limits, for he knows his time is short."

Jesus tells us that all will be destroyed upon His Second Coming (LUK 17:23). Armageddon could be Christ's Second Coming, in which case everything on earth will be over and done. However, Revelations 20 goes on to talk about an era after Armageddon where Jesus will rule the earth, with the iron rod of His mouth, for another 'thousand years', without the 'beast' 'leading the nations astray'. If there is no free willed chance of repentance and love for God after Armageddon, then it is, no doubt, Jesus who will wield the sword of His mouth at Armageddon. If there is a free will era for people to repent and love God of a 'thousand years' with out the 'beast', 'leading the nations astray', after Armageddon, then we have to contemplate just who is wielding the sword of Christ's mouth at the great battle of Armageddon and for the 'thousand years' after Armageddon. If Armageddon is not the end of the world then it is not Christ wielding the sword of His mouth at Armageddon. Jesus clearly tells us His Second Coming will be at the end of the world. When ever Christ's troops, Angelic or Apostolic, deploy the weapon of Christ's mouth, Jesus is there fighting with them, binding sin in heaven and on earth.

Jesus, Angels and Apostolic Successors all possess Christ's authority to wield the sword of Christ's mouth. If there is free willed life on earth after the Battle of Armageddon, then Anathema, is the most likely form in which the sword of Christ's mouth will be deployed at the battle of Armageddon. Church Anathema is most likely the weapon used to defeat the beast at Armageddon and most likely the weapon which will be used to protect the Church from Satan for another 'thousand years'.

When Jesus, from heaven, gives the order for war against Satan on earth, what gives the angels, whom are very likely Apostolic Successors, the strength to carry out His command. Satan is defeated, Babylon Falls, Israel is reestablished, the beast, harlot and false prophet are all hurled into hell at the great battle of Armageddon. What on earth would give a small group of Bishops and a Pope the strength to accomplish all this? Apocalyptic scriptures tell us that Christ's soldiers will run on mountain tops, scale tall walls, and there will be no hideing from Christ's warriors. What gives Christ's warriors these super hero capabilities? Anathema! Anathema is the weapon of Christ's mouth. When deployed there is no hiding from anathems and there is no stopping it. When struck by the sword of Christs Mouth, anathema, a person only has two options; Surrender to Christ through repentance and absolution from the Church or die to spiritual death.

Yes! When Jesus unleashes hell at the Battle of Armageddon, it is not going to be hugs and kisses. It will be the Sword of Christ's mouth, the key to eternal damnation, which does His bidding. God has His plan to build His Kingdom of love for God through human free willed obedience to His command on earth. Satan, man's evil pride, has lead man to the brink of doomsday. It is going to take some heavy fire power to turn the world around to the point where free willed life once again becomes a beautiful garden producing abundant free willed gifts of love for God once again. Anathema, in the hands of Christ's great combat warriors, is that fire power which scriptures indicate will bring about this change. If, not, it will be doomsday.

From scriptures, we know Armageddon is coming. From scriptures, we know that it is Christ who is giving the command to unleash the sword of His mouth upon the unrepentant on earth. Let us adjust our thinking to this reality. Let us brace for impact. If Apostolic Successors refuse Christ, He will still find a way to let God's will be done. If Apostolic Successors do refuse Christ, we will see how well that works out for them; not likely very well. There will be no stopping Christ, and His warriors, at the Battle of Armageddon.

NAB JOE 2

Blow the trumpet in Zion, sound the alarm on my holy mountain! Let all who dwell in the land tremble, for the day of the LORD is coming; Yes, it is near, a day of darkness and of gloom, a day of clouds and somberness! Like dawn spreading over the mountains, a people numerous and mighty! Their like has not been from of old, nor will it be after them, even to the years of distant generations. Before them a fire devours, and after them a flame enkindles; Like the garden of Eden is the land before them, and after them a desert waste; from them there is no escape.

Their appearance is that of horses; like steeds they run. As with the rumble of chariots they leap on the mountaintops; As with the crackling of a fiery flame devouring stubble; Like a mighty people arrayed for battle. Before them peoples are in torment, every face blanches.

Like warriors they run, like soldiers they scale the wall; They advance, each in his own lane, without swerving from their paths. No one crowds another, each advances in his own track; Though they fall into the ditches, they are not checked. They assault the city, they run upon the wall, they climb into the houses; In at the windows they come like thieves. Before them the earth trembles, the heavens shake; The sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars withhold their brightness.

The LORD raises his voice at the head of his army; For immense indeed is his camp, yes, mighty, and it does his bidding. For great is the day of the LORD, and exceedingly terrible; who can bear it? Yet even now, says the LORD, return to me with your whole heart, with fasting, and weeping, and mourning; Rend your hearts, not your garments, and return to the LORD, your God. For gracious and merciful is he, slow to anger, rich in kindness, and relenting in punishment. Perhaps he will again relent and leave behind him a blessing, Offerings and libations for the LORD, your God.

NAB MAT 13:38

The weeds are the followers of the evil one and the enemy who sowed them them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the world, while the harvesters are the angels. Just as weeds are collected and burned, so will it be at the end of the world. The Son of Man will dispatch his angels to collect from his kingdom all who draw others to apostasy, and all evildoers. The angels will hurl them into the fiery furnace where they will wail and grind their teeth. Then the saints will shine like the sun in their Father's kingdom.
