Connections Canada

Connections Canada is a trip for 10 4-H members and 1 leader to go on an exhange in another part of Canada for 1 week During that one week of the exchange they each memeber and leader meet their host family and as a group, go and visit different parts of the other groups province. That is only half the exchange though. The other half is that the people you stayed with, come to your province and stay with you for a week. This is when you show them your province. In 2001, my club, Cornwallis Project, was paired up with the Alberta Foothills Sheep club of Alberta. On July 1, we were flying to Alberta to meet our Alberta twins. While there for 14 days, we visited museums, were at the Calgary Stampede for 7 days, went to a couple mines, to Frank's Slide, and to many more places. The first week in August was the time for our twins to come see us in Nova Scotia. While they were here for 2 weeks, we took them whale watching, took them to the Bluenose II, we went to museums, and Port Royal, Fort Anne, to the Lawrencetown Exhibition to shwo them tug-of-war and 4-H in Nova Scotia, and to many more places. It was lots of fun for everyone and we made many new friends that we will always remember and perhpas go and visit again.
