What's New December, 1998

December 29: Added information on a Stuart/Marcus performance to the News page. Also updated the graphics on the navigation bar for users who use the frame version. Numerous other small updates and changes have also been made this week
December 22: Added a cover scan and updated information on the In the Scud EP being released through the official site to the News page. Also updated the Timeline and created some new graphics for the Profiles page.

August 14: Added information on an upcoming 2-CD compilation to the News page.
August 7: Added more concert dates (with the Rolling Stone) to the News page. Removed song sample poll (not much apparent interest and I was running out of room to store the file).

What's New April, 1998

April 28: Kings of Emotion was released on April 27th in the UK. Check out the Discography page for more information.
April 24: Added a press release from Great West Records concerning the release of a song from Tony's solo album to benefit M.E.awareness to the News page.
April 14: Added a tidbit about Stuart performing on WDCN (an American PBS station) to the News page.
April 7: Added more BC concerts (all in May) to the News page.

What's New March, 1998

March 29: I have finally been able to create an updated version of the Big Country Book of Lyrics PDF. This new version features all of Tony Butler's lyrics from his solo album (thanks to Oliver Hunter) and includes numerous small (and not so small!) corrections. I've also started work on a key word index—useful when you want to find every song in which Stuart is singing about rats, the United Nations or the Lone Ranger. The file size is significantly larger than the previous version, but I'm not sure why. The addition of Tony's lyrics should not have increased the file size as much as it did. In the future I hope to shrink the file size some more and work to expand the key word index.
March 17: Added info on an upcoming Big Country performance in Barrow-In-Furness on May 23rd to the News page.
March 6: Added info on an upcoming Stuart/Marcus Hummon performance in Nashville to the News page.

February 13: Added Markus Schoeller's update (version 2.10) of the Big Country Discography, a text-only file originally created by Todd Oberly.
February 11: Added information about the cancellation of the Kings of Emotion set to the News page.

What's New January, 1998

January 16: Added more info to the News section on the new album and BC's new label.
January 12: Added some info to the News section on the new album in the works.
January 10: Added People magazine article about Steeltown, and an article printed in The Times relating to Big Country's performances there in 1988. Both can be found in the Miscellaneous section.
January 1: For the new year I have completed all Big Country HTML lyrics (Tony's lyrics will follow in time), revised the site's graphics a bit, consolidated On-Line Music Stores and Other Big Country Sites into Links, added this page (which is not to be confused with the page about Big Country news), fixed numerous little errors and mistakes, slightly changed the design of the Timeline page, revised the frame interface, revised and updated the band member profiles, added site links to the bottom of major pages to aid those not using frames (the frame interface is not recommended for 640x480 displays as certain pages, such as the lyrics, just don't display well), and a bunch of other little things nobody would probably ever notice. Preliminary work has begun on a site index, but this is not quite complete. I'd love to say that there was a new and updated version of the Book of Lyrics PDF…but I lack the necessary hard drive space to create a new version, and this is not likely to change for a very, very long time.
