December 15: Added information on a few TV show appearances in Ireland to the News page.
December 12: Converted some of the online reports about Stuart's "disappearance" to Articles on this site. Removed those links from the News page as many of the links were dead.

November 1999 What's New

November 25: November dates with Bryan Adams canceled due to Stuart Adamson's unavailability. More information is on the News page.
November 16: Added two new UK performances in late November to the Live Dates page.
November 14: Removed wallpaper files due to a lack of server space. Hopefully these can be returned to the site at some time in the future. I was running so low on space that I could not update any of the files.
November 2: Added information on three new UK performances to the Live Dates page.
November 1: Added information on a Radio 2 (UK) appearance by Stuart Adamson to the News page.

October 1999 What's New

October 28: Added two reviews from Thomas Kercheval, one for Driving to Damascus, and one for Bon Apetit!
October 25: Big Country releases "See You/Perfect World," its second single from Driving to Damascus. This is a "double a-side" with two tracks from the album. I have also started to add short thirty-second MP3 samples to the Discography pages. Currently I have samples from Driving to Damascus, the "Fragile Thing" singles and Bon Apetit! EP. Samples will be limited due to server storage limits. These samples are about 250k in size and are recorded at FM radio quality. You will need an MP3 player to hear these samples. I've also added a link to the News page for a site that features video clips from Big Country's appearance on Weekend Watchdog.
October 22: Added some information to the Timeline page concerning upcoming signings and TV appearances in the UK. Split up the Discography to list studio and compilation albums separately in order to speed up the display of the discography pages.
October 15: Added a new performance to the Live Dates page.
October 13: Added all lyrics for Driving to Damascus to the Lyrics page.
October 9: Added a new performance to the Live Dates page. Updated more information on the "See You" single on the News page.
October 3: Updated the release date of the upcoming "See You" singles on the News page.

September 1999 What's New

September 29: Added five December performances in the UK to the Live Dates page. Also added are the lyrics to the four songs on the Bon Apetit! EP.
September 27: Big Country releases Driving to Damascus, its 8th studio album. In "celebration" of this event I've updated the entire Steeltown site with a new look. I still have some bugs to work out, and would certainly appreciate any input on broken links, missing images, or any other problems (currently the JavaScript for the site pages is not functioning correctly).
September 18: Added an article from the Scottish Sunday Mail covering Big Country's performance in Kosovo.
September 11: Added on-line sources for ordering Driving to Damascus to the News page.
September 9: Added track listings for Driving to Damascus and the upcoming "See You" singles to the News page.
September 8: Added the track listing for the Bon Apetit! web EP, released today, to the News page.
September 7: Big Country will apparently appear on the VH-1 program Where Are They Now at 10:00 p.m. (U.S.), but I cannot confirm this based on their programming schedule.
September 3: Added information on a live date in Kosovo to the Live in 99 page.

August 1999 What's New

August 27: Added some information on the September 18th Big Country Convention to the Live in 99 page (the band will be performing live, so that seems like a logical section to place the information).
August 25: Added lyrics for "Dust on the Road."
August 24: Added lyrics for "Loserville" from the limited edition "Fragile Thing" single. Lyrics for "Dust on the Road" will follow soon.
August 19: Added lyrics for three songs from the "Fragile Thing" single.
August 10: Added information on a new internet-only EP release, titled Bon Apetit!, to the News page.
August 9: "Fragile Thing," the first single off of the upcoming Driving to Damascus album, has been released in the UK.
August 7: Added info on a Blue Healer radio appearance to the News page. Also, I've been adding promotional appearance information to the Timeline page.

July 1999 What's New

July 25: Various changes to the site made to keep up with recent news. I am spending a lot of time configuring a new computer system and have not been able to keep the site as up-to-date as I would like. Expect further delays until I get the new computer properly set-up.
July 12: Added two reviews of the July 7, 1999 performance at The Sutler in Nashville. See the links on the Live in 99 page.
July 2: Added a few more performance dates to the Live in 99 page.

June 1999 What's New

June 15: Added news on the first multi-part single to be released from the upcoming album to the News page. I am also beginning work on re-ordering the Discography pages so that newer material is at the top (reverse chronological order, but one that makes more sense with new recordings coming out this year).

June 7: Added some info on another web-only EP and upcoming singles from the new album to the News page.

February 26: Created a new page for live dates in 1999. All concert and tour information will be on this page and not the News page.
February 24: More info about the new album added to the News page.

January 25: Add information to the News page on the possibility of changes to Bruce's Wild Blue Yonder EP.
January 24: Added information on the recording of the new album to the News page.
January 23: Added lyrics to the five demos from the In the Scud EP.
January 20: Added a few Stuart & Marcus concert dates to the News page. Also added additional information on the In the Scud EP to the Discography page.
January 16: There is a report from the UK that the In the Scud EP is finally out. Those who have ordered it should be getting it soon.
January 10: Added a splash/portal page as well as some other minor graphic changes. Altered the format of this page to break up additions by month. Added a few new entries to the Trading Post.
