Ancestor Issue: 718
Cover: Tiger Wong and Maggie
Published:August 18, 1989

Summary Added: July 23, 2001

After punching Tiger Wong in the face Ancestor continues with another punch to the stomach that sends him flying backwards. Ancestor rushes forward to strike again but suddenly begins holding his head in agonizing pain. Apparently Tigers' kicks have actually done some damage. His eyes take on a dull red hue as if he were possessed.

If Ancestor has any weaknesses it appears to be strikes to the head. In a previous issue Ancestor allowed Gold Dragon to strike him in the stomach but when he tried to strike the head Dragon got rammed into the ground. Now Ancestor is left dizzy from a kick to the head that he received last issue.

With Ancestor distracted the monks decide to use this opportunity to attack. Instead, Ancestor hops into the air and drops down on them like a bomb slaughtering them. Raising his hand he unleashes a cloud of poison that blasts the monks and leaves the Global Cult troops throwing up on the ground. The Supreme is horrified to see the death and destruction that Ancestor is able to deliver just with a wave of his hand. His men are left crawling on the ground vomiting and begging for mercy. As if things weren't bad enough The Supreme spots his father rushing towards him with another attack. He manages to block a palm strike with his forearm but gets pounded in the ribs with a series of fists that knock him back. The Supreme, Chan and Incredible Chap all back away from the enraged Old Supreme. The anguish of striking his own son is too much and Old Supreme drops to his knees. Should he continue to fight his son, perhaps to even kill his son. The confusion is too much and Old Supreme begins to weep. He cries out in frustration and begins to tear his own hair out. The sound of his despair cuts right into the hearts of his own Global Cult troops.

Old Supreme rises back to his feet looking as if he just aged ten years. His face contorted into an a look of fury he walks towards his son with powerful angry steps that crack the earth beneath him. Seeing the rage in his fathers' eyes, The Supeme clenches his fists and tells his father to stay back. 'I love you dearly my child', says Old Supreme as he continues to move forward. Backing his son up Old Supreme exclaims 'Kill me, then you can take my position'. Finally the pressure is too much for The Supreme so he hauls back and punches his father right in the face. 'How Dare You Strike Me!, roars Old Supreme. He shakes off the punch but then gets attacked by both The Supreme and Chan Ou Wan. While occupied with Chan, Old Supreme gets kicked in the back but continues to press Chan. Several punches are blocked but Chan finally gets socked right in the face. The Supreme delivers another kick and starts reving up for a big one. Even though he notices the oncoming kick Old Supreme seems obsessed with hurting Chan and ignores it. The Supreme connects but finds himself bounced back. Incredible Chap and his sister Maggie who were standing together are suddenly separated by the arrival of Ancestor. Ancestor has slaughtered all the monks and wants to speak to Maggie. She reacts with fear when she sees the blood covering his hands and he quickly tries to wash it off in a puddle of water. Together Ancestor and The Supreme escape with Maggie.

Ancestor Issue: 719
Cover: Tiger Wong and Maggie
Published: August 25, 1989

Summary Added: July 30, 2001

Ancestor starts crowing about his new rejuvination while wisking Maggie away. He tells her that he can do whatever she wants, fly, create rain, whatever. She cries out 'Go Away' and tells Ancestor and The Supreme that she detests them. 'Your feelings will change in time', says Ancestor as he lifts her into the sky. Maggie cries out to Tiger Wong for help but he can only watch in horror as the three take off into the air.

One person who's a big loser in all this is Chan Ou Wan. He put his money on The Supreme and now all he can do is stare blankly as his meal ticket sails off with Ancestor. Gold Dragon starts to chase after Ancestor but sees that no one else is following. 'Come on Tiger!' he urges but Tiger roars out 'I should rescue HER?'. I guess he's not real happy with Maggie. Barbarian smacks Tiger in the back of the head and calls him a dumb ass for not wanting to help the young lady. Tiger Wong and Barbarian bound off into the woods leaving the Global Cult members as well as some Red Sect men. Now it looks as if Chan made a huge mistake in choosing to side with The Supreme. He gets a little advice from Lone Kwoon Tin who tells him that world affairs are like a game of chess and things can change very quickly. Old Supreme raises his arms and tells all his men to listen. Bacause of his collaberation with Ancestor. The Supreme is now OUT. Removed as Global Cult head and out of the cult entirely. All the Cult members are abuzz over this new information. Even the Red Sect fighters including Green Serpent, Puma and Woodcock are eager to find out who The Supreme's replacement will be. Old Supreme announces that he has already decided on who the new leader will be. Make no mistake about it, this is a monumental occasion. Puma wonders why Old Supreme doesnt' just assume command himself. Well, whantever his reasons Old Supreme IS about to appoint a new Global Cult leader. Will it be his own son Iron Todd? How about Incredible Chap. Does the devious Chan Ou Wan still stand a chance? Not on your life. Old Supreme raises his arm and points to the new leader of Global Cult, Lone Kwoon Tin. At first Lone is shocked but as the reality sinks in a broad grin crosses his face. If you've followed the english translated comics you may well know that Lone Kwoon Tin's goal was always to take over Global Cult and now he's having it handed to him. The other department heads present are crushed by this decision. Lone drops to one knee thanking Old Supreme for this great honor and pledging his loyalty. Old Supreme then calls out for Chan and Incredible Chap's attention. Lone is enjoying this, he has no respect for Chan or Chap and loves seeing them get in trouble. Too bad for him Old Supreme seems more interrested in mending the deep division in Global Cult. He tells Chan and Incredible Chap that he doesn't blame them for siding with The Supreme. At hearing this Incredible Chap bows and thanks Old Supreme for his vast capacity for forgiveness.

Later on, back at Global Cult headquarters Chan is looking rather upset. Incredible Chap arrives looking rather glum himself and the two sit down to have a drink. It looks as if there might be a new alliance forming.

Elsewhere, The Supreme is now officialy on the Ancestor team.
