Launch Date : May 26, 1999 by indigenous PSLV rocket

Payloads

  • OCM (Ocean Colour Monitor) with 8 spectral bands
    for the measurements of physical and biological oceanographic parameters.

  • MSMR (Multi-frequency Scanning Microwave Radiometers)
    Operating at 6.6, 10.65, 18.0 and 21 GHz frequencies with H and V polarizations and at spatial resolution of 150 km, 75 km, 50 km and 50 km respectively.
