Case 2- a case of rheumatoid arthritis treated with homeopathy

History: A 35 year old lady presented with severe rheumatoid arthritis involving mainly both wrists, both knees and both ankles. The joints were swollen, hot, red & were painful even to slightest touch.She was even unable to comb her own hair.She had been suffering for 5 years & allopathic treatment had given her no relief.Fed up of all the side-effects, she had come to me.But what she told me on the first day was interesting. She said," I place my blind trust in you.Relief or no relief, I will continue your treatment for at least 1 year without any complains. Only if then too there is no relief, I will think about whether to continue or no".I was very surprised, for I didn't know why she placed so much faith in me.
Examination & treatment: She was very weak & her Hb was very low. So along with homeopathic medicines, I put her on iron tablets & also allowed her to take an occasional pain-relieving tablet if the pain became too much for her to bear.
Results: For the first 3 months there was absolutely no change in her condition but she never once complained.In fact, I was beginning to feel guilty about it. After about 4 months for the first time the heat & redness decreased, though the pain was the same.Slowly the swelling started decreasing & her general health also improved.At the end of 6-8 months, she combed her daughter's hair for the first time & was thrilled about it. At the end of 1 year, she could work a little & was walking much comfortably.Yet it took about 2 years for her to be completely cured.Today,even after 5 years of stopping all homeopathic remedies she is fine.
