The GCC Mariposa was sent for critique. Eleven of fifteen students completed the project--a record for the percentage turn in. Cards are being circulated for choice of the next GCC which will be funded for the teacher's fee by Sun Region. Choice will be made in November and begin in January 2010. Monthly meetings will be held at the Melbourne library on the third Wednesdays.

The next project for the third Wednesdays is the drawn thread tulip bookmark, with two sessions scheduled. The cost is $3 for the fabric with students bringing white #8 and #12 perle cotton and a small hoop. Call me for details.

After the new year begins we will resume beginner lessons, probably for either blackwork or hardanger. Sign up sheets will be available at the general meetings.

The final session of "Hidden Hearts" from the September 2009 edition of Needle Arts will be held on October 9.
