Crewel Angel Wings 10/19/09 Finishing Angel Wings We’re coming to the time of year when most of us are focused on “finishing.” Sixteen of us are stitching angel wings featured as our September program. At the October meeting, Jineen will demonstrate the technique she used to finish her angel. We will also be able to spend additional time stitching the wings. For those not participating in the angel wings project, this would be a great time to work on your president’s challenge piece. 11/16/09 President's Challenge The November program will feature all the president’s challenge projects…in any condition. So whether it is barely started, almost done, or beautifully finished, we want to see your project and hear your story. Sharing these projects has been fun for all of us…inspiring in some cases and entertaining in others. Jineen has also asked us to set a goal of finishing as many as possible of our holiday projects in time for show-and-tell at the November meeting. We will also have show-and-tell items on display at the holiday luncheon, but in the past many beautiful items went unnoticed because of all the other events of the day. 12/14/09 Holiday Luncheon Please note the change of meeting day to the second Monday of the month. Think of all the fun we will have: door prizes, show and tell, ornament exchange and more. Maybe some cooler weather! Membership pins will be presented as well as the installation of our new officers. At the holiday luncheon, you have a choice of three entrees. 1. Harvest Pork Loin: Cinnamon seasoned roast pork topped with spiced applies. Served with mashed sweet potatoes and fresh vegetable of the day. 2. Grouper Calypso: Broiled grouper topped with fresh tropical fruit salsa. Served with mashed sweet potatoes and vegetable. 3. Chicken Marsala: Served with mushrooms over noodles in a savory Marsala wine sauce and vegetable. Have you finished your hand stitched ornament for the exchange? Last year we had a huge range of fantastic ornaments, each one prettier than the next. Certainly you don’t want to miss out on this high spot of our celebration! Remember, you cannot take one unless you bring one! Your reservation coupon with check must be returned by Wednesday, December 2, to Carol Rogers. Come and join us for a great time.

You're invited to bring along your current stitching project and join the ladies of the satellite groups. There's often a small project being led by a chapter member to help us learn a new technique. There is always sharing of the latest magazines and books and updates on current guild activities. It's a great way to connect with other chapter members who love to stitch!

The Night Stitchers are enjoying another productive year. We continue to meet at Ascension Lutheran Church at 1053 Pinetree Drive, Indian Harbour Beach. We meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 7 pm. All are welcome to join us for evenings of stitching and fellowship. Call Lillian Hicks for directions.

We invite all members to attend our meetings at the Central Brevard Library on Forrest Ave. in Cocoa on the third Tuesday of the month, 5:30 pm until closing. New members and visitors are always welcome.

Our holiday dinner meeting will be on December 1st at Domenico's in Rockledge.
