Campaign Headlines:
Transgressive Convention This Week:
Retina and McAntismash Campaign Toward Houston

The Transgressive Party's Convention will be held in Houston this week as the first in a series of conventions by the major parties. Indigo Retina and Odephius McAntismash are currently in Davenport, Iowa working their way down the Mississippi to New Orleans, where they will take a plane to Houston.

The Convention, highly anticipated in the Retina stronghold of Texas, promises to be an exciting economic opportunity for Houston, which has been in a recession since Hurricane Amber swept through last year. The Transgressive National Committee chose Houston over Phoenix, AZ and New Orleans, LA. The choice for the convention location was hotly contested, but Houston won it with it's loveable mascot Transgressy the Turtle.

It is interesting to note that Texas was one of only 3 states to fall into the Transgressive column in the Electoral College in the Election of 2016.

In Michigan last week, we caught up with Presidential-hopeful Indigo Retina between campaign stops in Detroit. He had this to say about the upcoming convention: "I am very excited about this opportunity to not only officially accept my party's nomination, but also to show America what the Transgressive Party stands for. I know this will make all the difference in the voters' minds."

Even UPN is set to broadcast the major events of the convention. This is unusual because it is usually airing old episodes of "Living Single" during that timeslot. Lovers of "Living Single" have protested the use of UPN for such "political propaganda", but the amount of people concerned about it is certainly not enough to cause any substantial schedule changes.

Queen Latifah, however, was pissed off.

Meanwhile, the Electoral College remains unchanged after the news of Artie (The Strongest Man in the World)'s entrance into the election scene as Zeus's VP.

"This is unusual for this election. We were expecting a few of the more unstable states to swing in Zeus's direction, but the states have held firm.", election analyst Drew Porter of the San Francisco Chronicle says.

Full coverage of the events of the convention will be shown next week.
