Rarely do political conventions have such good will attached to them. However, the Transgressive Party's convention had just that. Indigo Retina did not talk about the other parties at all. Instead, he focused on his view of what the Transgressive party should be and what he thinks it should achieve. Following are some highlights from the event. Monday: Several Transgressive party senators arrived in New Orleans to start the convention off, along with several party leaders. On a side-note, McDonalds sales in New Orleans went up 135% from last year on the same day. Tuesday: Indigo Retina and Odephius McAntismash arrived in town along with several more party officials and several television crews. Wednesday: Indigo Retina announced his acceptance of the Transgressive nomination for President of the United States of America. He focused on his ideas for the future of the White House, and gave some hints to what a Retina administration might look like, should he "be fortunate enough to get your vote" Several protests by Deity Party supporters were eventually stopped due to the fact that it was pretty much just one drunk guy running to different parts of the city causing trouble. Thursday: Odephius McAntismash spoke of his connection to the Transgressive Party and his views for his role in a possible Retina administration. He also expressed excitement that he would be able to use Air Force One to cruise for chicks, much to the amusement of all present, except his wife. Friday: Performances by the latest pop bands "Trotsky's Skull", "Mission: Failure" and "Grumpkus Grumpkee and His Jug Band" appeal to younger voters. Several polls indicate that the convention has boosted Indigo Retina's popularity in several states, including key states of Florida, California, and even the former Retina stronghold of New York, which is now in the control of Nelson DiChezzerai.
