Fundraiser for the IBCC

Martin Lynch's one-man show, The Humour Of The Troubles (accordin' to Martin Lynch), featuring the author himself, will be performed on Thursday 26thth April 2007 at 7.00pm in the Black Box, Hill Street.

Secretary of the IBCC Kevin Doherty said, "We are delighted to that Martin is performing this show in support of the International Brigade Commemoration Committee."

Following on from the record-breaking success of his play The History Of The Troubles (accordin' to my Da), audiences will be able to hear in person a collection of side-splitting stories, packed with some of the maddest, baddest and funniest Belfast characters ever to step behind a barricade; Meet Fireball-the nutty-hospital-porter: Willie Lagan the country and western singer: Tomata the Catholic Defender: Bonzo McGaughey the Loyalist roof top protestor, and many, many more.

The show has sold out at venues all over Northern Ireland, including the Lyric Theatre, so a good response is expected for this show, to will be followed by traditional music.
