For the first time in its history, the Asian Championships for Men, Boys Under-19 and Girls Under-19 will be held simultaneously in Perlis, Malaysia.
Malaysia will be hosting the three tournaments at the northern Malaysian city of Kangar from December 19-21.
Sri Lanka, Iran, Malaysia, India, Thailand and Bangladesh are the early birds to have verbally confirmed their participation in the tournament.
Laos and Turkmenistan are expected to participate for the first time.
This will be the second year that Malaysia is hosting an international tournament.
Last year, Malaysia hosted the inaugural Malaysian Open, participated by six countries.
The hosts will provide board and lodging for all participating teams.
Efforts are being made to include newer kabaddi nations to participate in the tournament.
In conjunction with the Asian Championships, the Kabaddi Association of Malaysia will also be hosting a local knockout competition.
