Star Signs

The qualities are said to influence an individual's relationship with his or her environment, and the type of activity related to them (initiating action, stabilizing it or following it through).

Cardinal - The Cardinal signs, Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn represent dynamism, activity, energy, enormous amounts of stress and achievement. These people often experience change and characterize their lives by successes and crises. They initiate action and take command. The Cardinal quality represents the initiation of new plans or projects.

Fixed - The Fixed signs are Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius. These signs are always trying to establish themselves and do not like to be moved from that position. They are staunch, stalwart, upright, resolved, stable and honorable people. The Fixed quality represents stabilizing influences.

Mutable - The Mutable signs, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces are versatile, sensitive, intelligent, nervous, and curious people. They are highly energetic, imaginative, flexible, adaptable and talkative. They can anticipate change and enjoy experiencing new things. The Mutable quality represents the ability to follow through.

Elements

The element of a sign reveals the basic personality makeup of the people born under it.

Fire - Aries, Leo and Sagittarius are the Fire signs. These signs are emotional, volatile, adventurous, and inspiring. They are spontaneous, impulsive, enthusiastic, intelligent, self-involved, creative, idealistic and passionate.

Earth - Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn are the Earth signs, known to be practical, logical, dependable, in touch with the material world, conservative and sensual.

Air - The Air signs are Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. These signs enjoy communication and relationships; any contact with other people. They are original thinkers and enjoy contemplating what "could be". They are also reflective and like to apply their ideas.

Water - Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces are the Water signs, which join everyone on emotional levels. They are silent, mysterious, perceptive, emotional and imaginative. They are also sensitive, mystical and artistic people.
