Ketterly, Andrew - Uncle Andrew in The Magician's Nephew. Fashions magical rings from a substance given to him by his godmother. Sends Digory and Polly to the Wood between the Worlds. Attempts to befriend Jadis. Is transported into Narnia at its creation. Returns to London where he takes to the bottle. Gives up magic for good but often would tell tales of his time with Jadis.

Ketterly, Letitia - Digory Kirke's aunt in The Magician's Nephew. Referred to as Aunt Letty.

Kirke, Digory - the Professor in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Is present at the creation of Narnia in The Magician's Nephew. Plants the Tree of Protection at the western end of Narnia. Killed in a railway accident in The Last Battle when he is transported into New Narnia and greets Tirian after the last battle.

Kirke, Mabel - Digory's sick and dying mother in The Magician's Nephew. Is revived when Digory brings an apple from Narnia with magical properties and gives it to her to eat.
