Episode 91 "Resist the Fusui's Magical
Power. Next Target : Kamiya Doujou!" |
The Fusui master who helped them introduced himself
as Jinpu, of the Yamato Fusui Wind clan. Tired of the
Chief's interest in the Fusui matter, Kawaji decided
to leave the matter to him. The Chief visited the Doujou
in hope to gather more information. Jinpu was there,
explaining Kenshin Gumi about the competition between
the Water and the Wind clan and that the Water clan
was to destroy the existing Wind Eigou formation built
by Tokugawa, and replaced it with their own.
Meanwhile, Tsukioka Tsunan was doing his own investigation.
He found out that Saeki was building a railroad in Musashino,
that Saeki was from China, and that his real name was
Yuusui. The Chief succeeded in dragging Kawaji to the
Doujou to listen to Jinpu's story when Tsunan arrived
telling them of what he had found out. Jinpu instantly
knew that the railroad building was to get to the Ryuu
Myaku, a main energy stream. The Water clan suddenly
attacked the Doujou, wishing to destroy the seal on
the well. While Kenshin was made helpless by Reissui,
the leader of the Water clan, Kaoru attacked Reissui
but was hurt by his Nyuja, or black, magic. They destroy
the seal and left. Having destroyed the Eigou formation,
the Water clan managed to make their first attack, destroying
the Department of Industry's building.

didn't give her the water from Musashino's Dragon Fountain.
So Kenshin and Jinpu set out for Musashino to get it.
Tsunan and Sano was charged with the task of finding
the Water clan's new formation and destroyed it. (Sugoi!
You get to see fab Sano fights!) Saeki and the Water
clan had disappeared from Tokyo. Their plan was to control
the Ryuu Myaku; destroy the Superior Court, Police Dept,
and destroy the Genrou whenre the Daijoukan would be
meeting next week. Saeki had bribed the politicians
to come to the Daijoukan, to ensured that they would
be killed.
Kenshin and Jinpu arrived at the Musashino's railroad
building site and barged into the tunnel. At the end
of the tunnel, they found a dead end with a pentagram.
Jinpu destroyed the pentagram and the Ryuu Myaku was
released. Jinpu calmed it down but the tunnel was collapsing.
Kenshin and Jinpu managed to geto ut, and was met by
Yamagata, who had brought his Konoe division to halt
the railroad building there. The Water clan by then
had destroyed the Supreme Court and the Police Department,
and their goal was to link the Ryuu Myaku who was heading
northeast towards Nikko.

Episode 93 "The Enemy Awaits in Senjo
Gahara. Searching the Hisui Crest." |
The water from Musashino was given to Kaoru and once
she showed signs of recovery, Kenshin and Jinpu set
out immediately to Nikko to find the Water clan. Meanwhile,
Tsunan and Sano were asked to find out where Ryuu Myaku
would be diverted, where it would headed and when it
would strike. Sano and Tsunan found out from one of
Saeki's employee that Saeki had asked him to find a
book on the separation of religion and politics seven
years ago.
They visited the author of the book, Horinaka Tadashi,
who told them about Senjo Gahara, where a holy object
that controlled natural forces were kept. He also told
them about Youmei Mon, where the Hisui crest were kept.
The Water clan destroyed another bulding, this time
it was State Defense Department building. Just a moment
after it was destroyed, several members of the Daijokan
arrived and arrested Yamagata-kyo for using the Konoe
division and seizing a civilian property without the
Daijokan's permission. Kenshin and Jinpu had arrived
at Youmei Mon. Reisui found out they were there and
attacked them by using a formation he had prepared before.
During this attack, Kenshin met his decomposing-self
and had to come to terms with himself to break away
from the formation.
Sano came, riding a horse, telling them what he had
found out. Kenshin, Sano and Jinpu set out towards Sanju
Gahara to confront the Water clan. Tsunan and Kawaji
were working together to figure out what they could
do. Tsunan concluded that they should be able to stop
it if the formation at Kan-ei tmeple still existed.
That temple were burned down 11 years ago. At this time,
Horinaka Tadashi appeared and told them that he wanted
to help them.

Episode 94 The Elegy of Wind and Water.
Now They Make Desperate Efforts Here!" |
Horinaka Tadashi brought them to the Kan-ei temple
and told them they could build a formation to replace
the broken formation. He instructed them on how to make
it, using various objects and a big dragon statue to
be the Ryu formation's heart. Kenshin Gumi had arrived
at Senjo Gahara and Jinpu went to fight Reisui by himself.
It was a battle of supernatural powers, where in the
end Reisui lost but sacrificed himself in order to preserve
the formation. Tsunan and Kawaji tried to tell the Daijokan
members to cancel their meeting but it didn't worked.
So they devised a plan where Tsunan's bombs would be
used to damage the Genrou-In a bit and the people there
would be force to evacuate themselves, helped by the
police. The Hisui crest was at the hands of Saeki, who
wished to use it for himself so he could rule the country.
As Sano tried to attack him, he used it and a piramid-like
building appeared from beneath the earth, Saeki standing
on top of it.
To defeat Saeki, Kenshin poured the Musashino water
on his sword and did a Do-Ryuu-Sen-like technique to
send the energy spiralling up the stairs. It striked
Saeki and he lost his grip on the crest. Sano threw
the crest to Jinpu, who caught it and fell. As he fell,
he used the crest to stop the Ryuu Myaku. The Ryuu Myaku
passed the Ryu formation and was decreased, but it was
still going on its course when the energy from the crest
hit it and stop it.

Episode 95 "The End of the Roam. The
Ties Between Scarlet and Emerald Are in the Booms of the
Waves." |
Last episode!!!! Frankly I don't understand just *what*
the title means, but whatever. This episode is one very
quiet, tranquil and beautiful episode. I don't really
like the still scenery scenes though, because I think
they're real pics, altered so not to look too realistic.
But the BG music is fantastic. I love it!
This episode takes place at the end of the summer,
Meiji Year 11. It had been half a year since Kenshin
came to live at Kamiya Doujou. Kenshin and Kaoru went
somewhere to visit a grave I don't know where it is,
but they used a boat to get there. Afterwards they went
to the beach and got caught in the rain. They couldn't
go back to Tokyo because of the weather and stayed at
a local's home.
Yahiko were helping Tae for that day. He helped clean
the tables and do various chores. And he wore an apron!!!!
Sano were having his right hand checked by Megumi and
stayed there to get a free lunch. But Megumi, foxy woman
she is, made him cut firewood afterwards in order to
get his dinner. While Sano was bathing, Megumi took
his clothes and washed them, but she didn't tell him
what she had done, leaving Sano madly searching for
them.
Kenshin and Kaoru slept in the same room, and Kaoru
felt so distant from Kenshin although they had known
each other for half a year. Kaoru had a nightmare that
Kenshin left to become a Rurouni again. Waking up, she
found Kenshin gone. She ran to the beach and found Kenshin
there and fell into his arms. Kenshin gave her a seashell
and when Kaoru's hand touched his, there was a flashback
from episodes before of the two of them, especially
during the Kyoto Arc. Kenshin and Kaoru returned to
Tokyo with the first boat, and nearing the port, they
saw everyone from Dr. Genzai to Suzume-chan waiting
for them on top of the bridge.
