Handbag Summary:This handbag was made using the fabric from a black obi. The texture and pattern of the black fabric includes wavy, river-like figures ending in flower blossoms enclosed in jagged diamond shapes. The red fabric was taken from a haori. Attached to the red area is a red and black tassel, which is made in the traditional Japanese knot-tying style known as hana-musubi. The inside of the handbag is made from the lining of a haori, and has a momiji (maple leaf) and ume (plum blossom) motif. The colors of the lining include pearl white, baby blue, and cherry blossom pink. The handle is made from the same black obi fabric as the exterior of the handbag.
