This splendid kimono is a mock shibori pattern of red and white. Design motifs are boys wearing traditional Japanese clothing called maikake. The boys are playing various games with puppets, hobby horses, and so on. Very cute! The inside of this kimono is a white and off-white lining that has a few small tea-colored stains. The lining has a deep red and hazy border to it. Despite the small imperfections of the lining, the outside of this kimono is clean and magnificent. As always, it is up to you to wear it, use it as an eye-catching décor accent, or cut it up and use it to create your own clothes or crafts.
