This stunning fukuro obi has a base color of vivid orange, with chrysanthemums (kiku, in Japanese) of blue, green, yellow, white, gold, and reddish orange throughout. The flowers are embroidered. There are also some triangular figures with green and purple borders. This fukuro obi is in very good condition. There is a little loss of patina, as can be expected with an obi of this age, and there are a few small stains. However, this does not detract from the eye-catching quality of this fine kimono sash. This fukuro obi would look great against a black background, whether it be a kimono or other garment, or in a display setting.
