Balance:
The tiger itself is Yang; its striped coat, however, represents the union of both Yin and Yang forces - the balance of which confers great power. It is this contradiction that is at the heart of understanding the nature of tigers. So, while tigers have huge potential, it is a potential for both success of failure. Although usually fortunate, tigers are predisposed to danerous situations. If they act wisely, tigers can take advantage of this and become very successful. Otherwise, they may fail on a grand scale. Whether a tiger is calm and wise or impetuous and hotheaded in the use of power depends on the individual's ability to learn from experience, heed advice, and channel their energy constructively.
