Here is a great opportunity for people who want to study but do not have the time to go to school regularly. Students who need to work (child star ka ba?) or who are constantly getting sick have the opportunity to learn and get a diploma through the Department of Education's Home Study Program and the Open University Program offered by most universities all over the Philippines. Under these programs students do not need to go to school Mondays to Fridays. they only have to report to the specific schools once a week to get their modules/lessons or take tutoring sessions. They can study these modules where ever they want. The only condition is that THEY HAVE TO STUDY THESE LESSONS because they have to take and pass periodic exams and do related projects to be able to complete a year level and go on to the next. Through these distance learning modules, students can now study in their favorite malls or hang outs. Cool diba? For High School Students who NEED to avail of the Home Study Program you can contact the Rizal Experimental Pilot School for Cottage Industries (REPSCI): REPSCI Jenny's Ave., Brgy. Maybunga, Pasig 643-4465 and 643-6786
For High School Graduates who want to enroll in Open Universities, you can inquire with major universities in your locality.
