It is important for the establishing of the reality of the existence of our babies who have died, that we should have some tangible evidence.

Most mothers that I have spoken to over the years, have already chosen a name for their baby before the baby's death. Even if the death occurred before the sex of the child has been established, the mothers all have told me that they believed that their baby was either a boy or a girl. I have never questioned the validity of that feeling or intuition, but rather have suggested that they continue with that belief.

To help in the Grief Healing Process, I have always suggested that they consider a
Certificate of Namegiving to be filled in with that baby's name and the relevant details concerning his/her existence.

The following example of a Certificate that we have designed for our son Darren who was Stillborn can be copied. You could have the details printed by a Calligrapher of if you have access to a Computer and Printer, the Certificate could be printed with appropriate lettering.
