The Lennox & Addington Horticultural Society is part of District 3 in the Garden Ontarion-Ontario Horticultural Society Ontario Horticultural Association which was formed in 1906.The Lennox & Addington Horticultural Society is subject to the Constitution of the OHA and the provisions of the Horticultural Societies act, R.S.O. 1980, c.204. This organization gives guidance and support to all it's members.

Sunday May 11, 2008 at 1:30 pm Ian McIntosh- Toronto Zoo's Adopt-A-Pond All are welcome to join Ian McIntosh, the coordinator of Toronto Zoo's Adopt-A-Pond. Mr McIntosh will be giving an interactive workshop called Wonders of Wetlands, followed by a walk (weather permitting) to learn about Ontario wetlands and their inhabitants. There will also be displays so plan to arrive early. Admission will be free. The location of the presentation is the Lion's Hall, 300 Main Street in Deseronto. Sponsored by the Friends of the Salmon River, co-sponsored by the Lennox and Addington Stewardship Council.
Wednesday May 21, 2008 Philip Kennedy This is our first garden tour of the season. we will visit Philip Kennedy's garden in Picton. Directions to be provided, closer to the meeting. If you need a ride there, meet at the Napanee Highschool parking lot on Belleville Road, at 5:30 pm.
Saturday May 24,2008 LHA Hort Plant Sales Plant Sale starts at 9:00 am till 1:00 pm. Rain or Shine. Come see the new NDSS Greenhouse.
Wednesday June 18, 2008 Summer Pot Luck Supper This is the first pot luck supper of the season and will be held at Macpherson House on Elizabeth Street in Napanee at 6 pm. Please bring your plate and cutlery, along with your favourite edible to the supper. After dinner, be sure to venture out and see what's growing in the garden behind the House. Please bring a plate, cup and cutlery along with something to eat to the supper.
Wednesday July 16, 2008 Garden Tour - Chris Eusebio This is our second garden tour, and we have been invited to the gardens of Chris Eusebio. Please plan to be there between 6:30 and 7 pm. If you would like a ride to Virginia's house, please meet in the parking lot of the Napanee District Secondary School between 6 and 6:30 pm.
Wednesday August 20, 2008 Annual Barbeque our annual barbeque is scheduled for this evening. You are encouraged to bring a salad or desert along with your plate and cutlery and the start time is generally 6 pm. final arrangements will be in the gardens of Larry Davy.
Wednesday September 17, 2008 Member's Night- Your Summer Experiences Please join us at County Memeorial Building, corner of Dundas and Robert Streets at 7 pm. If you have any extra seeds, please bring them to the meeting for a seed swap.
Wednesday October 15, 2008 Eric Weese Please join us at County Memeorial Building, corner of Dundas and Robert Streets at 7 pm. Eric is a local arbourist, and will be onhand to talk about tree care, pruning, which trees to do well in ths area and answer any questions you may have. Once again, seeds would be much appreciated.
Wednesday November 19, 2008 Annual Meeting This is the annual meeting of the Lennox & Addington Horticultural Society. If you wish to hold an office in the Society or would like to be a director, please advise Harold. The meeting will be at the county Memorial Building, coner of Dundas and Robert Streets at 7 pm. Susan Withers will be speaking to us about her trip to Alaska.
Wednesday December 3, 2008 Christmas Pot Luck The Society celebrates Christmas by holding a pot luck supper in the basement of Grace United Church at the corner of Bridge Street West and Robert Street, in Napanee at 6 pm. A plate,cup and cutlery, and your special dish to share is all that are needed to join in and have fun at the party.
