1. Birth of Parashuraam Other Incidents Parashuraam Jee Killed His Mother After Parashuraam had killed Shastrabaahu, he went for Teerth Yaatraa on the advice of his father Maharshi Jamdagni. He stayed there for one year, then came back home. One day his mother Renukaa went to the banks of Gangaa to bring water for her husband's worship. She saw there Gandharv Raaj Chitrarath wearing his lotus garland playing and enjoying with Apsaraa . She looked at him and continued to look at him. She got late for her husband's worship. She got somewhat attracted to Chitrarath too. She came back to Aashram, put the pitcher of water and stood there. Muni had known about her mental sin through his Yog power. He got angry and said to his sons - "Kill this sinner." But his no son obeyed him. But Parashuraam killed his mother along with his all brothers by the order of his father, because he knew the power of his father's Tap and Yog. Jamdagni got very pleased with Parashuraam and asked him to ask for any Var. Parashuraam Jee immediately said - "Hey Pitaa, My mother and all brothers should be alive and they should not remember that I had killed them." As he said this all got up as if they had awaken from a deep sleep. Parashuraam Jee and Sahastraarjun's Sons Since Parashuraam killed Sahastraarjun, whoever his sons survived always remembered their father's killing. One day Parashuraam Jee had gone out of his Aashram along with his all brothers, that they came there and killed Jamdagni Jee. Renukaa, Jamdagni's wife, called Parashuraam loudly - "Where are you Parashuraam? Come soon." Parashuraam heard the voice of his mother and came there rushing to find only that his father had been killed. He cried a lot for him, then he handed over his body to his brothers, picked his Pharasaa and decided to kill all Kshatriya. He killed Sahastrabaahu's all sons. There was a huge mountain of their heads in the midst of the city. There came out a huge river of their blood which filled five ponds in Samantpanchak of Kurukshetra. Thus he emptied Prithvi from Kshatriya 21 times. He brought the head of His father and joined it to his body. Then he did Poojaa, Paath, Yagya etc and donated middle directions to Ritwij, Prithvi to Kashyap Jee, Aaryaavart to Updrashtaa and other directions to others. Maharshi Jamdagni got the status of Sapt Rishi through Parashuraam. Parshuraam will be one of Sapt Rishi in the coming Manvantar. He still lives on Mahendra Parvat with a calm mind and doesn't hurt anybody.
