I put on a wire rear wheel from a 96L and built a front wire wheel around a hub from a wrecked 99 500. Bought a new rim and spokes - had it laced, trued and put on for a total cost of around $400 (New front wire wheel from Kawasaki would have been around $900). I have Honda fender rail extenders to move the rear turn lights back to create more room for saddlebags. |
Accessories (cont'd) I have Honda saddlebag supports and my highway bars are from a Honda VLX model. It has been lowered an inch & a half in the rear with Progressive shocks, I have not lowered the front, can't see any effect on handling. Have Kuryaken billet laser lights on the rear and Lazer Star billets on the front. Also have Kuryaken grips. |
