Once again in a blatant attack upon Democracy here in Alberta, our Despot of Alberta has decided to TRY to make sure that Democracy is only for the few. In a VOTE of about 75 people out to leechously preserve what they have, instead of doing what is best for All in Alberta, the two tiered pirates have decided to up the fees and make the people pay more. Yes, now to be involved in Democracy here in Alberta one must pay and pay some more. In the last election it was only a $200 fee that was refundable! THIS ELECTION our good old drunkard has up the fee to $500 of which only half is refundable!! a 150% increase, due we guess, because the casinos are taking too much of his easy got swill. In Federal Elections, its all refundable. Yes, this is a fine example of what's in store for all in Alberta . . . every time they do anything.
BC $100 refundable

"UK cops are persisting in introducing a series of roadside tests for stoned
drivers, despite a study released by the UK Transport Research Laboratory in
August 2000, which found that pot-smoking has a minimal if not beneficial
effect on driving performance.
And it looks as if our prohibitionist loving Alberta Government is all ready to sign on to this invasion of our Rights and Freedoms , instead of standing up tall and proud for our rights and freedoms, as guaranteed by law. We did not Decriminalize Alcohol prohibition, nor did we Recriminalize Alcohol, and we never Legalized Alcohol. We Repealed Alcohol Prohibition that started in Alberta, and we can repeal Marijuana Prohibition. You can help repeal Prohibition like our ancestors did. Support the only Political party with a realistic Platform that is easy to understand simple to implement and beneficial to All. Support the Marijuana Party of Alberta how ever you can.

May 1st. 2004 from: http://collections.ic.gc.ca/famous5/achievements/anti-prohibition.html
"From the crusade of a despised minority, a mark for good-natured ridicule
rather than fear, the prohibition movement became a vast continental
propaganda, backed by unlimited money, engineered by organized hypocrisy.
Under the stress of war it masqueraded as the crowning effort of patriotism.
The war over, it sits enthroned as a social tyranny, backed by the full
force of the law, the like of which has not been seen in English-speaking
countries since the fires died out at Smithfield. " . . . "In his 1919 essay entitled "The Tyranny of Prohibition"— written as a tract warning the people of England against the evils of enacting Prohibition—Leacock paints an unflattering view of Prohibitionists, and the motives underlying their activism. In it, he characterizes the the "drys" (prohibitionists) and the "wets" (anti-prohibitionists), and it is easy to see where his sympathies lie. Among the "drys," he identifies several types:
In comparison, he portrays the "wets" as:
Leacock blamed war-time idealism for the success of prohibition. In the atmosphere of national solidarity, individual self-sacrifice, and moral reform that pervaded society during World War I (1914-1918), prohibition seemed to be a natural fit. He also blamed opportunistic politicians, who, recognizing the power wielded by women's groups, viewed prohibition as a means of getting the women's vote. Though Leacock hated Prohibition, in his clear-eyed cynicism, he realized something that the Nellie McClungs and Louise McKinneys and Irene Parlbys of the prohibition movement did not:, prohibition was doomed to fail. " To read excerpts from Stephen Leacock's essay, "The Tyranny of Prohibition," see Readings:
Fanatical Prohibitionists A message that aptly applies today. today it is time to repeal Prohibition. The Marijuana Party has: A simple to understand
Platform, that is easy to implement, and beneficial to All in Canada.

April 2004
It is no
April Fools Joke, like the current Big Money Political Parties are! The upcoming Provincial election is not just about privatizing health care, so a few can reap billions of profit. Health care is about Caring for those who need it. The upcoming Provincial Election is about All of Alberta, from the current governments drive to ruin our education system to the way they are running all of Alberta into a shallow pit, about three meters deep, possibly so a foreign corporation can get tax rebates to suck our desiccated remains from the ground! Rural communities can prosper, Cities can be better with law officials that actually serve and protect, and roads to connect it all can be there, in good shape, ready for anyone to drive on, with reasonable insurance rates for all. Education second to none, with real health care for those who truly need it, a health and education system where all benefit, from a prospering economy that offers real wages and actual opportunity. Our plan is simple. Our plan is easy to implement and beneficial to All. All it takes for a better Alberta is your Vote, it is that simple and easy.

March 4 2004
"EDMONTON (CP) - Premier Ralph Klein's uncharacteristic outburst over calls
for a probe into Alberta's mad cow aid package had people scratching their
heads Thursday. Yes, most of us have had enough, enough is enough, the books of Alberta finances have not been examined for D e c a d e s. It is time they were, a Marijuana Party of Alberta Government would have OPEN BOOK accounting, there for all to see, so that no scamming of the taxpayer goes on. The Marijuana Party of Alberta is the only Party there for the rural communities with a viable plan that is easy to implement and beneficial to ALL.
|

March 2004
Our Plan: Cities would also prosper with jobs to process hemp fiber into the 20,000 + products that can be made from Hemp. Real jobs with decent wages. Law enforcement would be better as more resources could be put to better and more effective use. Tax revenue from all these new businesses would enable all the issues to be solved. All it takes for an Alberta Advantage that is there for all Alberta is your support for the Marijuana Party of Alberta.

February 2004 Real economic diversity, simple, easy to understand, just as easy to implement, that's our plan. Sure, one can do as this government wants and raise mad cows, genetic altered canola, and go in debt paying soaring heating, electric, water, insurance, and tax bills, just Vote for them. Them being the others that only represent Big Unions, Big Banks, and Big corporations. After all that is who gets the money when your sons and daughters are locked up with rapists and serial killers for a plant no different than a Wild rose growing in the foothills of the Rocky mountains. Or one can Vote for less costly and more effective law enforcement, real economic diversity with prosperity for all, less wasteful government and giving your sons and daughters opportunities. Vote for a made in Alberta textile industry, Vote with your heart and Vote with your conscious, Vote for a better Alberta for everyone's children, Vote Marijuana Party of Alberta.

January 2004 The Marijuana Party of Alberta wishes everyone a Happy New Year! Unlike our current government that has only given us ever higher heating bills, electric costs soaring, water and sewage taking more and more from everyone's pockets and user fees beyond belief. Such is the current Government of Alberta new years for all of Alberta. five dozen unsolved murders of women, and this current government would rather go after the innocent people that would like to use hemp. They put 61 officers to work with millions in funding to go after the farmers son growing Marijuana, but they only put three officers to work on 60 unsolved murders. The Marijuana Party would make sure there was adequate funding for catching the real criminals, those who actually harm People. Plus The Marijuana Party of Alberta would make sure Alberta did not have to go without food so the gas and electric bill can be paid. Economic diversity is not skimping on one bill so another bill can be paid. Economic diversity is where there are good paying decent jobs there for all. Such as would happen with the Marijuana Party's Platform been implemented.

December 2003 Once again this month, the Government of Alberta did again chose to get down on their scab encrusted knees for Ottawa and elsewhere, rather than stand up tall for the citizens of Alberta. With their order to Judge Chumpka to find Grant Kreiger Guilty guilty Guilty. Why even have a Jury? Why, when the Judge orders in court, the jury to find the innocent defendant guilty because of Opinion? Opinion of the supposed Judge that is. For how, how can a judge do this even after two jurors in tears say they can not, it goes against everything they believe in? How? How can a supposed Justice then order those two jurors back into to the room to return a verdict of Guilty no matter what they believe. . . Almost ten hours later, those jurors returned that Guilty verdict. In Our Opinion, because they were in fear of that rampant out of control Judge stomping their rights and freedoms into non existence. How did this happen? Why did it happen? Because of course that judges Boss, the government of Alberta decided that. And that Judge of course put "Paycheck" before law, rule of law, the charter of rights and freedoms and the citizens of Alberta. Ghastly and scary this travesty of Justice that went down in the courts of Alberta. Hopefully these horrors are not perpetrated upon all juries in Alberta. In all of this we have to ask why those parties that claim to be the opposition are not jumping up and howling in the streets over this. This Government could have told this Judge to not do such a grizzly thing. This Government could have made sure electric bills did not triple and quintuple. This Government could have made it so we have the highest minimum wage in the land, the cheapest fees for government services, but it has not. This Government could have made sure some corruption and graft and kick backs did not happen, This Government could have Legalized it and made it so the rural communities of Alberta could also enjoy economic prosperity like the big Banks, Big Unions and Big Corporations are enjoying this December. This Government could have given all of Alberta a merry Christmas and Happy New Year, but instead it is giving Alberta an enema with Rock salt for lube. The only way to solve these problems is to Vote Marijuana Party of Alberta, anything else is less than a waste of ballot paper. Anything else ensures the continuing policy of a government running amok locking up the sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, and grandparents of Alberta with rapists and serial killers for a plant no different that a Wild rose growing on the foothills in Alberta.

November 2003 This November we shall remember all of our Canadians who fought for freedom, and rights for all. they fought against a horror named fascism, and a lot of them died and were wounded doing so. They won us freedoms and rights or so it seamed. For this November we also remember all those victims of the illegal war on hemp. From the people shot and killed in the street by the bullets of officers of the law to the children forced into the foster care system by a system that values money before children. We remember those put in jail with rapists and serial killers for a plant no different that a wild rose waving in the winds on the prairies of Alberta. We remember the farming communities devastated because the government would not allow them to grow hemp, we remember the activists that have been locked up, shot, harassed and persecuted and discriminated against beyond belief. And we remember all the low paying part times jobs, because real economic diversification with a hemp based economy is something the government just will not implement here. Perhaps because of the color yellow, or the fact that they do not want all of Alberta prospering, just themselves. We Remember the fiascos, like the shrinking heritage trust fund, the trees sold to foreigners for 1/100 the price anyone in Canada would pay. We remember the user fees, the two tiered everything, and the way the banks and corporations are represented but no one else is. And we remember how our Oil was sold for less than nothing to those foreigners who tried to wreak our Oil boom, because we wanted some of the money. This November we shall remember all of this and more. All the billions spent to kill people and lock them up and wreck their life's and families for a plant no different than a Canadian Maple. We shall remember how this government instead of standing up tall for all in Alberta, did chose to get on its knees to keep locking up Alberta's sons and daughters, mothers and fathers for something that is: "A charge unrecognized by law,"

September 2003 As Harvest time approaches here in Alberta, We in the Marijuana Party of Alberta are wondering why this current government of Alberta is not standing up for the rights and freedoms of all in Alberta. For instead of Rural communities in Alberta enjoying the bounties of a fruitful harvest, we instead have those people in those communities in debt to the banks, big business and big fertilizer companies. Yes, although the courts across the lands have decided that Hemp is great and good for everyone, we have our government showing utter and complete contempt for those courts across the land, by informing their officers of the law to continue to persecute people for something that courts have decided is " a charge unknown to law." Instead of standing up for all in Alberta, our Government has decided that rights, freedoms, and democracy are something that are not wanted nor needed here in Alberta, land of the lowest minimum wage in Canada. Instead of actually representing those who live in this Province named Alberta, the current Government is representing someone else on the issue of Hemp. It is time the Truth about Hemp was brought out into the Open where all can see that it is something beneficial to all, but the current government wants us all to believe in the Reefer Madness lies spewed upon all including the current governments. Study after statistic after fact after report after poll in Alberta and Canada has showing that Hemp is great, its good for everyone, yet we have what we have. Sons, daughters, parents, children locked up for a plant no different that the wild Roses of Alberta. This is why it is time to help send a message to Ottawa and elsewhere by bringing the Truth about Cannabis out into the Open by helping to elect a Pro Hemp, Pro Freedom, Pro Rights and all for democracy person to the legislative assemble of Alberta. Help keep it legal and help respect the courts by electing a Marijuana Party of Alberta Majority Government. by doing so , you will help insure that Alberta is a great place for your grandchildren to raise their families.

August 2003 With Court after Court after Court across the land ruling that there is no Marijuana Laws, we in the Marijuana Party of Alberta who are not politicians but only average people like you, your family, friends or someone you walk by on the street, are Glad that we and people like Mr. Marc Emery and Reginald Normore are respectful of the Courts, the Justices in the Courts and the Rulings that those Justices in those Courts make. Unlike some Police forces across the land named Canada. Canada a place where it is that it is suppose to be that all respect the rule of law, it says so in the preamble to the charter of rights and freedoms. Yes, when officers of the Law; illegally arrests someone and unlawfully confines them; for some Malicious prosecution, for Possession of Marijuana, a charge unknown to Law, they are in fact showing utter and complete and absolute contempt for those Courts, those Justices of the Courts and the Rulings those Justices Of the Courts make. For as The Justices in the Terry Parker Case in Ontario and other Justices across the land showed in Federal Courts; Possession of Marijuana a Federal Charge is actually a Charge Unknown to Law. The Original Terry Parker Decision was never ever appealed. That charge struck down the law Y E A R S ago. What was appealed was the following Decision where Mr. Parker and others showed the medical marijuana access regulations were in fact Laws of horror, infringing upon those sacred rights and freedoms as guaranteed by the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. That's who we in the Marijuana Party are; People just like you that know its time the Truth about Hemp be brought out into the Open where it truly belongs. Truth is: Marijuana is beneficial to everyone in Alberta, and right now its legal. There is no textile industry in Canada , yet the Alberta Government knew way back before world war 2 that Hemp grows great in Alberta.
Yet our current government in Alberta is filled with yellow-bellied chicken
Lying Politicians that worship Ottawa and elsewhere. For the only thing that
says Prohibition is a good thing is Reefer Madness. That's all those in the
government in Alberta have. The Police says they are only doing their Job,
that the Orders, come from "above", that "above" being Politicians.
Something We in the Marijuana Party do not want to be. Those Politicians are
doing a fine job selling our Oil, Water, and forests for next to nothing, we
know so because of course, the heritage trust fund shrank a couple of
billions again this year!
Your Vote come election time would be great to send that Message. Unfortunately Media adds are expensive And to Help make it so all can help, feel free to make a donation when ever you can.

July 2003 The premiers annual Klondike days breakfast in Edmonton at the legislative grounds was of course a poor taste with no substance affair. The good old premier flirted a bit with a couple of young men, and then the not serving anything, not cooking anything premier after a boorish speech, sat down to possible eat his fourth or fifth free breakfast! Well free for the premier, but expensive for you and me the taxpayers of Alberta. Pancakes undercooked, like the financial books of the government most likely, and they could of served some real eggs in our opinion, instead of the pretend McClucken eggs, like the way the current party pretends to represent the Voters of Alberta. And the mock chicken sausages instead of some fine Alberta beef sausages, much like the way we have a mock government that mocks everyone, with its still arresting people for a charge unknown to law. Yes, and the good old premier of course toured the crowd of starving voters, attend by his circus of media and goonish thugs, who were there perhaps to make sure the premier does not eat any pie. Of course there was a record number of people who turned up for breakfast, but what would one expect with the way the current government is making the people of Alberta starve with its policies of horrors that it perpetrates upon all in Alberta. All in all it was a breakfast of poor taste with absolutely no substance whatsoever. The best thing was of course the Voters of Alberta turning up in record numbers to enjoy a breakfast they have probably paid for at least ten times over. Free? Free for the premier perhaps.

May 2 The Marijuana Party of Alberta is Pleased to welcome and support: The Holy Smoke Healing Center Society to Alberta which, shall be offering legal Marijuana for sale. Incorporated 4 /28 /2003 The Holy Smoke Healing Society is dedicated to doing that which it seams the government can not, that which the courts of the land ordered the Government to do years ago, bud did not. The current Government of Alberta choosed to keep locking up Albertans sons and daughters in a rabid worker like fashion for some foreigners in Washington, rather than listen to those voters of Alberta who in a Majority of 93 % support less harsh laws for Marijuana, a plant no different than an Alberta Wild rose. It seams our Government here in Alberta, can not stand up to Ottawa and Washington, perhaps because they are not brave individuals who support all Albertans like those at the Holy Smoke Healing Center Society, and us here in the Marijuana Party of Alberta do. The Holy Smoke Healing Center Society can be reached at:

February 2003 The Alberta Government is once again up to its nefarious activities trying to force two tiered health, education and social services upon the people of Alberta who time and time again have said no thanks to such things. More Fiscal mismanagement, more scandals, more non-representation for the people, and more milking of the tax payers hard earned money. Less services, less tools for the hospitals, schools and libraries, and road repair crews. Yet with a Pro Marijuana Government in Alberta, there would be no issues, for Marijuana Industries would create enough taxes and high paying jobs to solve those issues that did exist. Vote Marijuana Party of Alberta, its the only way things will get better here in Alberta!

November 2002
In yet another fine example of fiscal mismanagement, the Alberta Government has gone amok again as it spends spends spends our tax dollars and your hard earned money in a propaganda ploy worthy of Himlers praise. All to convince you the air breather, that brown air is more healthy and tastier to boot! than that horrible natural clean blue sky. Yes oil wins again as it is well represented by your tax dollars, but your lungs better stock up on caviar and fine rare wines to give to your elected officials so they too can be as well represented as Big Oil and Big Money. Kyoto accords can be met by a marijuana fuel industry, and better management in corporations and households. Kyoto is not about Alberta loosing jobs, it is about the color of air your grandchildrens descents will breath, the foul smelling brown kind, or the sweet wild rose flavored blue sky. which is tastier to you, and your grandchildren? Yes you can vote for the foul smelling brown air supporters, or those that support clean blue skies forevermore. . . The Marijuana Party of Alberta.

October 2002 Marijuana, (hemp, cannabis, ganga, etc, ) is a plant that has the ability to
improve the life of every Albertan.
For Marijuana is a plant that can grow great, here in Alberta. Marijuana,
besides being the best recreational
Drug there is, would enable Alberta to experience economic prosperity. That is
Economic prosperity for all
of Alberta, not just the big Banks and Oil companies. Fine fuel (ethanol) can be made from cannabis in a far less polluting way than gasoline is manufactured. Rural communities would prosper from a hemp based fuel industry, that would have no problem meeting Kyoto accord targets. These are just some of the thousands of products that can be utilized from Marijuana, a plant no different from Alberta's wild rose. Savings from law enforcement, and taxes from new legal industries, would enable Alberta to lower personal income taxes, and fund government services in a less intrusive way.
