Katara and Sokka find Aang, the last Airbender, in a block of ice. He learns that he has woken up to warring world, and that he has woken up 100 years after being frozen. Katara bonds with Aang, and makes him feel at home in her village, but Sokka is suspicious. He thinks his suspicions are proven when Aang and Katara accidentally set of a signal to the FireBenders while exploring an abandoned Fire Nation ship. Sokka banishes Aang, much to Katara's dismay. Aang leaves, on his fur-clad flying bison Appa, but tells Katara that she can't come with him, because "he doesn't want to come between you and your family."

Notes:

• Aang was 12 when he was frozen, meaning his physical fom is still 12, though he is technically 100.
• Mitchel Musso (the guy that looks like Devon Werkheiser) plays Aang in this episode, instead of Zach Tyler Eisen.
