On the first of Aang's stops, they roam to Kyoshi Island to ride their giant Koi fish. But Aang made one slight mistake: the warriors. They capture the group and then reveal, much to Sokka's surprise and dismay, that the warriors are all female. They threaten to throw Aang-tachi to the Unagi, the giant eel that guards Kyoshi. But they quickly change their minds on finding that Aang is the Avatar. They give him the star treatment, which annoys Katara a lot (jealousy?). However, like Katara's vilage. they are quickly angered by Aang's accidental summoning of the Fire Nation. Zuko and his forces sack the village, but are challenged by Sokka (and his newly found female warrior powers), Suki (the leader of the female warriors, who has a crush on Sokka), and the warriors themselves. Zuko is quite embarrased but doesn't leave; he sets the city on fire. Suki tells Sokka to leave, that she can handle the situation. Sokka and Suki exchange a brief kiss before he leaves with Aang, Katara and Momo. However, just like the last time, Aang comes back to save the village. He masters riding the Unagi, and 'puts out' the FireBenders' attack.

• We are introduced to the first female Avatar: Kyoshi. She was born approximately 400 years ago.
• We are also introduced to what may be Sokka's first crush: Suki. They, in term, do have a lot in common (more on that here).
