Just write to me Last Update 11 - 06 - 00			OK, so you read the title and you are confused.  But I have gathered sufficient proof to show that there is a distinct connection between everyone's favorite video game hero and the late Jedi from Star Wars.  What does this mean?  Are Shigeru Miyamato and George Lucas in cahootz with each other?  Is Miyamato secretly leeching off of Lucas's success?  Before you ignore me, let me bring forward my evidence.  Sure, some of the lesser intelligent folks out there might think these are simply coincidences, but that just shows their underlying inability to grasp the facts.  So without further ado, here they are. Link uses the Triforce.  Obi-Wan uses the Force.  Link fights an enemy who uses the Triforce.  Obi-Wan fights an enemy who uses the Force. We see both a young and old version of both Link and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Many Zelda fans would like Ewan MacGregor (who played Obi-Wan in The Phantom Menace) to play Link in a Zelda movie. Both have really cool swords (Obi-Wan's is just hi-tech) Both have rescued princesses before. The introduction to Star Wars begins with "A long long time ago."  The introduction to The Legend of Zelda (the NES game) begins with "A long long time ago." Link- honorary member of desert dwelling Gerudo.  Obi-Wan- hermit on the desert world of Tatooine. Link recieved help from a fat king of fish.  Obi Wan recieved help from a fat boss of amphibians. Link has to stop a moon from destroying a planet.  Obi Wan tries to stop a "small moon" from destroying a planet. (thanks Shivan for this one) Coincidences?  One or two would be coincidences, but this is a conspiracy.  Can you really ignore these facts?  I think we need to take a stand on this.  Get Shigeru Miyamato to explain himself.  He thinks he got away with it, but we're too smart for that.  However, at the moment its enough to inform you all of these disturbing facts.  There is obviously some connection between these two, and we must learn why.  Stay tuned, though, for I am slowly gathering evidence linking the Deku Tree to none other than the great Bob Dole. Disclaimer:  Sigh, these things always ruin the joke.  OK, I know it's difficult to transmit sarcasm over the internet, so if you did not realize by now, I do not think there is any connection between Link and Obi-Wan.  I couldn't get to sleep one night and thought this up.  There is no conspiracy on either side.  Got it?  And I really am not going to try to link together Bib Dole and the Deku Tree.  So if you really believed me, just forget about it.  And lighten up, OK?
