The transformation sequence

The Mariner begins transformation of his trimaran by hitting the levers (seen in foreground). The lower part of eggbeater blades begin to move down, and blades fold into mast (note furled jib in background).

Gears (A Ford truck transmission) engage and spin as transformation continues.

Mast extends upwards, pulling up shrouds.

The "boom-cover doors" open and boom rises out of hull.

Boom continues rising out of hull and begins to extend while the counterweights pull the mainsail up the mast. (note hapless sailor in background soon to be de-masted by the trimaran.)

Counterweight bag falls down, pulling the mainsail up mast (notice head of mainsail rising on right).

Jib begins to unfurl.

The mainsail fills and powers the trimaran.

The Mariner at the helm steering the trimaran and controlling the sheets with the grinder.
