Welcome to Market Rants. This is a site driven by a desire to chronicle the craziness of the stock market and its manic tendencies. Stock trading ever since the Iomega bubble in 1996 has not been the same. Fundamentals have taken a back seat to "momomentals". The advent of the internet has given investors the feeling of playing on an even field, with visions of grandeur and wealth. The casino mentality on the NASDAQ has caused extreme dislocations between market capitalization and the actual value of a company.

From my view point as a trader and fund manager, market insights and commentary will be given along with an updated "radar screen" of stocks to keep an eye on. Occasionally, I will roam out of the realm of stocks to discuss other financial instruments such as commodity and index futures. Market Rants will be the type of commentary that you will not hear from most financial websites, it will reveal what truly goes on in Wall Street and in stock trading. There will be no holds barred.
