I have 902 cultivators including doubles and spiders. It seems spiders are more appreciated every year and I really love some of the doubles. The old standby, Stella de Ora, which is supposed to be the rebloomer of all, has been replaced with Happy Returns. It is truly the rebloomer of all daylilies in my garden and I cannot keep enough of them. At one time when I received a new catalog I would have to look hard to find a lily I did not have. Each year, as new ones are introduced, I find many that I want and do not have. All of my named varieties are marked and I have a chart with their place in my yard. Friends made most of my markers, which are engraved on plastic. I buy from several nurseries, some of which are outstanding. I have learned to wait for a year of two on new introductions and save money as the price drops considerably. Three years ago, I paid $75 for one, which can now be bought for $35. I have so many favorites that I refuse to list them, but Red Volunteer is a good one. It is a large, true red and very showy.
