Hello Warlords! Yesterdays United League match against Tranquility ended in a 12-5 victory for...Warlords! Hehe. Space Elmo captured MVP with a 6-1 performance and a coupkle of team kills hehe :P Seems he wanted to see Musical get wasted hehehe (Just joking guys) Mint and Adam also put in great performances :) Here is the match log, check it out if you missed it :)

Warlords are 2-0 on the season so far. I am not sure who our next opponent will be but will let you know asap. Great job guys on keeping the streak alive and thank you for your attendance, we have been having good turnouts :)

On another note...hallucination has handed amateur league responsibilties over to me :) I will be adding people who want to play to the roster and scheduling matches and etc. The Amateur League zone is not up yet but hear it will be shortly(hopefully) So far to play in amleague I have the following confirmations : 7.62x39mm(hehe), Pags, space herpe, Cash On Delivery $$, Obsession, Flat., Gazelle, Heavy Duty, Egg Rolls, Mint, Voyd and a new member and my brother in law 40 S&W...Welcome him to the squad if you see him on :). And the following people I am waiting to hear from about amleague : North Star, Mission, Grenseal. Let me know if you want in and I will add you to the roster :)

Hey Ya, BIG news involving ss! VIE UK has now 'fessed up to owning us all -- and the rights to ss. It sounds like they have active plans in this area. This is nothing but good news ppl. Here is the post from subspace.nu and fiery:

I just had another talk with VIE UK and finally today got confirmed that they own the licence for this game. VIE UK will do a public statement later about what will happen with Subspace. So far everything the council has done has been with their blessing. With support from Ghost Ship's and Priitk we have invited the VIE representative to the council and hope for a good cooperation with the future of this game.

This is very exciting news and the best thing I've heard since before VIE announced that subspace would be a retail box game (aka the day subspace was doomed to die).

We have our next UL match this weekend against tranquility -- don't know when yet. I'll let you know. Pracs this week at 11pm ET

Woohoo! Congratulations to hallu, space herpe, mint and Grenseal for a well played match against Birds Of Prey ending in a 12-3 victory for Warlords. MVP was hallu with a 4-1 performance. You guys did great keep it up :) Warlords are 1-0 after first match of the new season in UL. Can we repeat last seasons awesome performance? Only time will tell.

Birds Of Prey had problems from the start with a poor match attendance and constant lagouts by El Tigro which cost them 3 deaths in the end. Hopefully we will have an opportunity to play them again when they are at full strength and see what we can do :). Never the less a victory is a victory. You guys played smart and tough and excellent team work too. I am hoping I can start making it to practices on a regular basis so I can possibly play too. My connection is 100 times better now with a dial up ISP than it was with cable. Besides if hallu won't let me play after that then I will just have to post some of those nasty secrets he doesn't want out...remember hallu? The one about the chickens? Hey Ya! Well we'll have our first UL match of the new season this weekend sometime with Birds of Prey -- I've asked for Sunday July 18th at 10pm ET -- we'll see what they say.

Prac schedule is back to normal now -- 11pm ET weeknights, or thereabouts. Again, if you see people on at other times, particularly during the day, when our Euro players are on, get together and play!!! Cya in ss!!!

Hey Ya! Well after some summer doldrums, UL is starting back up! Here is the address of the new website: http://www.pctne.com/ul/

The new Ops are PJP and Astrox with Fiery assisting. I think this makes an excellent base for the new version of the league to operate on. I've been assisting them in a few points of organization of the league -- particularly a new league structure. Yes, I'm pushing my WSL league structure again -- and I think it (a form of it) will happen next season, but not this. I know pro is also taking a look at it.

As time has gone by with the aborted first UL season, I think we've gotten further and further away from what that (hopefully) final game would have been for us to win the league. I think the only scenario that was really workable was if sbd resumed the league immediately. Perhaps if we had played Shaved Monkeys the very first week, when things were still up in the air, that could have worked -- but I still thought the league would restart at that point, and by the time we _knew_ it wasn't going to restart, all momentum and purpose was lost for both teams. So a 'final' match became less and less convincing no matter which way it went.

The new UL team has said this: "The pyramid has been reset, and sbd's decision to have Warlords as the season 1 champs stands." We did win the first season of UL. I'm very sorry we were denied the chance to undeniably show that, and remove the asterisk by our name in the records. Hopefully, we will have a chance in the future to do win the league again. We can all be very proud of our accomplishments in this league. My hats off to you! Our roster is now unlocked. If you want a name change, please send it to me. Cya in ss!!
