I have played the organ for about three years now, starting many moons ago for the Summer of 2000 when I went to the Presbyterian Assocation of Musicians Conference in Albuquerque with my chuch. There I took lessons from a professor at New Mexico State, and learned to love the organ almost as much as the piano. I haven't really stopped ever since. I have been taking lessons for about three years now from two organists at McFarlin Methodist Church, one current and one former, where I have learned so much from her it is just overwhelming sometimes. I also am a substitute organist for many churches around the Oklahoma City metro area. The organ is just a great instrument.

Some of my favorite organ pieces I have worked on and performed are the following (just to name a few):

  • Bach's Little Prelude and Fugue in F Major
  • Bach's Little Prelude and Fugue in G Minor
  • Bach's Little Prelude and Fugue in C Major
  • Bach's Little Prelude and Fugue in E Minor
  • Bach's Little Prelude and Fugue in A Minor
  • Buxtehude's Nun Bitten Wir
  • Mendelssohn's Prelude Op. 6. No. 2
  • Rheinberger's Trios No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and 10
  • Vaughn William's Prelude on the Commonwealth
