CH. Mattole Valley's Acton (Acton) and his son Mattole Valley's Crown Pilot (Yaegar) winning Best in Show Brace, this father and son were a very well matched Brace. It was a very special moment and Acton's last show. What a note to retire on, winning Best Brace over dogs that had competed and won Nationally. When the judge turned, pointed and said " I'll take the Malinois!", You could have knocked me over with a feather!

Sled Racing with 3 Mals was a challenging experience. From bicycles and track ovals to recreation sleds and dirt trails to racing sleds and snow I lost track of the scrapes and bruises (mine) and entanglements of the dogs. The team consisted of Kelly v h Schellinjke, SchIII (P), FH (V), CDX, TD, HIC and her sons, Ch. Mattole Valley's Acton, OFA(E) and CH. Mattole Valley's Bustin'Loose, CD OFA(E). Running a team of pure breed Malinois definitely made us stand out, winning placements with a team consisting of 2 AKC Champion Malinois and their dam was completely unexpected by our competitors.
