I live in the States, I'm 38, and I'm female. That's pretty much about all I'm going to tell you about me personally unless we're friends. But I'll give you some background on my exposure to anime if you haven't clicked the back button on your browser yet...
I didn't start writing Gundam Wing fan fiction for any of the usual reasons. This site, artwork, and interrelated pieces of fiction are the result of a rather complex relationship among friends old and new. The long and short of it is that I told a lie at my high-school reunion and an old friend challenged me to live up to it.
My futile efforts to renew skills long ago rusted out are shown here for your amusement and to display publicly my tragic sense of wonder over where my skills have crawled off to in the last few years. So enjoy, and try not to laugh too hard or long. (Though truthfully, oxygen deprivation may actually improve some of the material on this site.)
I've been writing occasional short works of nonfiction for the past 20+ years or so, but haven't written much in the way of fiction since my school years. Well, until now anyway. I like to write about how people relate to objects, their environment, and each other. Relationships fascinate me—between family, friends, lovers, partners, and strangers. And since the G-Boys have taken up residence in my head and don't want to go home, I'm planning on writing for long time to come.
The sketches throughout the site and in the main gallery are mine, taken from the videos and a few pieces of official art.
