While browsing through the video rental section, one shelf caught my attention - "Cult Cartoons". I felt an overwhelming sense of deja vu while examining the video cassettes. "I had seen these character faces before," I thought "not only in my Phantasy Star videogames, but on television a long time ago...". My mind flooded with old memories of Tranzor Z (Mazinger Z), Robotech (Macross), and Voltron (Go Lion) - at that time, I had no idea my old TV favorites were anime. I rented the first volume of Bubblegum Crisis and that night, my life was forever changed... How did you discover Cutey Honey?A few years after I discovered anime, my local video rental stores began stocking anime. In 1996, I found Cutey Honey subtitled volumes 1 & 3 at two different stores. I had seen trailers of Cutey Honey on other ADV videos, so I decided to give the series a try. As you can tell, I never regretted that decision. Why did you decide to create this website?The New Cutey Honey series is very appealing to me because it brings back memories of those whimsical superhero stories I grew up with (although with some more mature themes). It's classic, leave-your-brain-on-the-floor escapism Furthermore, in my opinion, the English language dub is one of the best dubs ever produced. Plus, I wanted some practice organizing and creating a website. What did you use to create this website?The original site was created from scratch in raw HTML using nothing but Notepad. The revamped site was created from the original with some help from FrontPage.

Why did you select the web moniker "Mayor Light"?Government, politics and current events are among interests. Mayor Light is also my favorite male character in the New Cutey Honey series since he's a true statesman, rather than a petty politician...
