Holmenkoll Ski Jump

We enjoyed the public transportation network in Oslo. One day we went out to the most westerly depot, then transited to the easternmost. We stopped, however, along the way at the outskirts to visit the famous Winter Olympic ski-jump site, the Holmenkoll. Marty climbed *thousands* of steps up to the top to take these pictures:

Marghe missed this view from the top of the jump. View from the top looking across the mountains Top view again Jumper's view One is not supposed to go outside on the ski jump ramp itself, since the observatory is all encased in glass.
Stepping out But if you *squeeze* through the vent-window to the outside, you can get this picture: the view of the jumper. (The swimming pool is the run-off area.) Do you see Marghe down there, looking at the pool? On the jump The hotel was beautiful, but the restaurant was closed. Holmenkoll Hotel
The next day we started our trip across Norway, to Bergen. We took the "Norway In A Nutshell" route.
