Founded 1922, HOUSTON, TEXAS
Greetings!
Are you a present or former active duty, regular or reserve,
enlisted or commissioned Marine who is Proud To Serve or Have
Served? If the answer is YES, we invite you join a group
of a Few Good Men in the McLemore Detachment of the Marine Corps
League. Check 'CURRENT DETACHMENT ACTIVITIES' for the date, time, and place of our next meeting.
The attendance of your spouse and guest is encouraged.
Some of the things we do: Annually sponsor a Marine Corps League
Trophy at the Drill Competition for High School Junior ROTC units
in the Houston Independent School District and for the Marine
Corps Jr. ROTC units in the 8th Marins Corps District;
we provide the Fallen Marine program upon request; participate
in the Marine Corps Birthday Ball ; Veterans Day and Memorial
Day observances; the Toys For Tots program with the local Marine
Reserve unit; the Marine Corps Coordinating Council of Houston
and other Marine-related activities. Semper Fi!
