Service Projects

The chapter also provides support for our community.  We take on at least one service project per year.  In 2006-2007 we completed the following projects.

• Adopt a Family for the Holidays - In December 2006 we adopted a local family of six and were able to provide them with over 50 gifts and grocery store certificates.

• Bears from the Heart - Through this ongoing project we help children who pass through St. Mary's Hospital by providing hand-made bears to make their visit or stay a little more pleasant.

• MOMS Expo benefiting James Culver, a local boy who lost his legs from a staph infection - The MOMS Expo is a wonderful opportunity for moms to display wares from their home-based businesses.  Proceeds from this annual event benefit local families-in-need and/or organizations.  In 2006 we provided a monetary donation to the Culver family whose son lost his legs from a staph infection.

• MOMS Club Mother-to-Mother Fund(R) - In 2006 we provided a monetary donation to the M2M Fund, a fund set up to help member moms in devastating personal emergencies.
