Medical Relief Trip to Honduras Story Continues...

While overseas, the health care team will be staying at the Little Brothers, Little Sisters Orphanage just outside of Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Not only does the orphanage care for over 500 children but it runs several medical clinics.

The physicians and students will assist in the daily management of several of these clinics, including a pediatric AIDS clinic, a 24-hour pediatric critical care unit, and a community ambulatory clinic.

Little Brothers, Little Sisters Orphanage was chosen because of their dedicated involvement to the social, educational, and medical well-being of each child that lands on their door step as well as the local community.

After Hurricane Mitch in 1998, many children were left without families. In addition, the banana crop, the main livelihood of many Hondurans, was wiped out and still has not recovered. Families unable to support all of their members often ask the orphanage to take their children.

Although each participant in the trip has paid for his/her own trip, the medical team needs help paying for medical supplies and medications. We need your help! Any donation given will help to pay for much needed medications.

We thank you for your support!
