So, you're a nosey one, eh?

No worries, this page was created especially for you.

In A World Of My Own
Okee, I shall begin.

Ginger - that'd be me. I DO like my name, and I don't mind that it is common for horses, dogs, bimbos, prostitutes and cats. It makes me kinda special, because I'm not any of those. There are a golden few of us who polish the tarnished name that it has become. Honest!

A Proud Product of the 80's
(and staying that way!)
I'm 20 years old and regressing... it's a proven fact. The older I get, the younger I seem to become. It's not really on purpose, just something that kinda happens. Like the summer, or when a cat purrs. I suppose it's part of my nature, and I'm certainly not resisting. I like being 7. It's happy here.

Home Sweet Home
In The City of Angels, that's where I reside. It doesn't exactly have too many angels (but it will soon...) but the people are pretty likeable. Unless they're a teenager. But that's for a different website. It's pretty nice here.. there are lots of things to see and something's always happening, which makes it pretty entertaining. I like the night life the most, because I LOVE going to shows. Especially to see THE DONNAS! I guess you could say I was in love with the city. I think I would love it even more if it were closer to Disneyland. But the trip to Disneyland kinda makes it official that I am 'going to Disneyland'. Hmm... that's something to think about...

If You Listen, They Will Follow
Music music music! My life has a constant soundtrack. If it isn't a cd, it's a midi, a tape, a record or just me humming a tune. It fascinates me because everyone seems to like it. People revolve their whole existance around the music they listen to. People DRESS like the music they listen to. They hang out with people that listen to the same kind of music. I don't know what it is, but it totally compels me.

My Starving Musician Fate
I come from a family of musicians, too though. My daddy was a great musician and actually earned his own gold record. The single is called "Let's Go!". Every heard the Cars? They ripped it off... so if you ever see Ric Ocasek pull a punker and throw food at him. I have 3 brothers that are exceptional musicians as well. Actually, they have a band called DC4. They're not signed yet, which is beyond me, so it is my mission in life to help them. I guess it's just all about timing and who you know. Sucks, doesn't it? If you checked them out, give 'em your support and let them know! They damn well deserve it - and you'll be bragging about it when they're famous! So, inevitabley, I have caught the musician bug too. I started with flute and I played in the school orchestra and pep band for 2 years. I loved it, but I couldn't express myself enough that way. So I adopted the guitar and before I knew it, started writing songs! I don't like them too much but I LOVE writing and performing them, and people surrounding me surprisingly like it a lot! I'm also trying my new band stint. We're cool. I'll tell you more about that later. So, we'll see where that takes me. You never know with hobbies. I've also played 4 solo shows at a little cafe called the Bliss Art Cafe'. They were pretty cool. Fancy stuff, huh?

Band Together and ROCK
When it comes to my favorite bands, I have trouble deciding. It's not just because I'm indecisive, though. I have soo many, which makes them my favorite bandS. First off is a little quirky band called Jellyfish. They're so poppy and happy they make ya wish you knew more about musicmaking. They're an early 90's band, long broken up, but never forgotten. They're intelligent, enjoyable and witty and I suggest that you check them out. But listen to them first!! I do not give cd refunds, and they are certainly an acquired taste. The Tories have a nice pop sound to them. They're silly when they need to be, and serious when needed as well. With a fair Jellyfish influence and a great songwriter, they have all they need to be superstars. I've seen then 2 times, and each time am more amazed then the first. Next, we have Queen. What else can I say about them that hasn't already been said. They have a song for every emotion and one of the worlds best vocalists speaking for them. Long Live Queen. Then, there's The Beatles. Who would have guessed that 4 mop topped brits would completly change the face of music. Amazing! The Donnas hold a special place in my heart as well. But I'm sure that that's already quite apparent to you. They're my girls. =). The Smashing Pumpkins are great, because they're so deep. Billy Corgan is an interesting man to say the least, with a LOT to say. I can only WISH that I wrote like he does. Frankly, I'm insanly jealous. that dog. is a band that not enough people love and adore, but I guess experimental indie isn't always everyone's cup of tea. It's mine though, so there. Rilo Kiley is a sweet and awesome band - the one I had been in search of for years and I found them opening for Phantom Planet (another very great band). KISS rocks, as always. Andrew W.K. and his posh brand of party metal always keeps me happy when I wanna rock out. I reccommend Motley Crue to someone who can stand raw rock and silly lyrics. And most recently, I have been introduced to the world of Daft Punk - I am very excited about it. I KNOW I'm forgetting someone, but sites are made for updating and I have a whole list of solo artists to bore you with.

Flying Solo
I love Jewel (another writer I am envious of), Lisa Loeb (she's SO cute!!) I met her at a Jason Falkner show at the Troubador for the Poptopia festival in 2000! She was SO sweet, and she loved my name and my sweater! Few words, but they so made my day! Anna Waronker is my hero. MADONNA!!!!!!!! Wow... she's one girl that I adore. Madonna is THE icon of my childhood. As my reverance, I wear her face around my neck everyday. Michael Jackson is someone I wish we heard more about. I wish that people would get over all the rumors and realize what a great entertainer he is. If I met him, I would give him a huge hug. Jason Falkner is way cool too. He's a former Jellyfish member that has a quiet yet popular little solo career. If you live in L.A., you should try to catch him playing sometime. It's really worth the ticket, and he's AMAZING live, solo OR with his band (and if you're a Jellyfish fan, sometimes he even plays a toon from them!!). Fiona Apple is a girl that I feel for. Her music is beautiful and all I hope for her is that people will hear what she is saying. Her album "When The Pawn..." is like the ULTIMATE break up cd, believe you, me. We love you, Fiona. Bob Dylan is a man that has a something for everyone. If you're sad you should listen to 'Buckets of Rain'. It has nothing to do w/anything, but I find that something about the rhythm has a natural seditive to sadness. Good 'ol Bob has cheered me up many 'a' times.

"Pink - It's My New Obsessyo"
My FAVORITE color is PINKKKK! It's so girly and so many people don't like it, that it makes it an even better color to love. I am proud of my pink loving. I also am a 'fender of Orange' and love red and silver - and donnacolors. But, pink is my favorite color. That's not changing and no, I don't care if it looks like Peptol Bismol.

"Have Confidence, Attreyu!"
My FAVORITE movie EVER is, and always has been, The NeverEnding Story. I could go on forever about it, but instead I will just make a webpage (eventually...). It's got wonderful philisophies that I've unabashadly accounted for. Other favs of mine are Natural Born Killers (I know, that Colorado thing. But folks, if these teens were influenced by a movie, then obviously we have to teach our children not to be so susseptable to what other people influence them with0, The Hugga Bunch Movie, Snow White (the Disney cartoon!), The Wizard Of Oz, Annie, Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory, The Return To Oz, E.T., Alice In Wonderland, Pee Wee's Big Adventure and The Nightmare Before Christmas. =). There are, of course, some I have forgotten that I shall with no doubt add at a later time. Yes, I like childrens films.

A Nostalgic Sigh

There is something about the 1980's that I just can't seen to recooperate from. Perhaps I am dissapointed that I barely missed it, and didn't have quite the chance to dress like Cyndi Lauper. Maybe it is because I never had the opportunity to choose between A.P.K or Mike Seever. There are a million reasons that could surface when I think about it, but overall, I feel that it's an enigmatic cycle that will forever rotate. Call me a masochist, but I love the challenge. Children of the 80's are suddenly growing up. We are suddenly discovering the world around ourselves and realizing that we have lived through an incredible decade and have lived an incredible lifetime - so far, anyway. Just so you know, realizations like these lead to sites like this. =).
