The Imperial Guard planet fall on Sucundus was abysmal. The main contingent was unable to set up an even half passable defence perimeter around the city of Vornth, and now it lies as a huge slaughter ground for guard's troopers. Three of the regiments now are holding up in a tightly defended stronghold around what could vaguely be called the imperial palace. The fourth regiment is now trapped on the city perimeter and faces almost certain doom. Worse still the battleground will now act as a magnet to other Orks, and the threat of the green skins space going vessels is still not resolved. The only consolation to the imperial troops is that the armoured core has not yet been fully mobilised, and still yet may turn the tide in their favour.
Alarmingly, the final solution B-11 virus bomb, intended for use as a last ditch attempt to contain the Ork threat to Sucundus, fell into the invader's hands! Although the B-11 capsule was retaken with all swiftness, it remains shocking how such a massive mistake could have been made. An Inquisitorial purge has already been launched on the higher ranks of involved in the operation, but it is almost as dire to think what could have happened if the Orks had managed to use this apocalyptic weapon as it is to think that knowledge of such a weapon could now be wide spread. Rigorous examinations of all troops involved will have to be conducted after the Joryan campaign is over.
On Primus the rebel fraction and imperial lines are held at a virtual stand still, though the chaos forces took more ground. The space marine strike forces were unable to find the root of the insurrection, but succeeded in cutting off vital supply lines. The high command has decided to try a much subtler approach, but potentially just as damaging
