COURT ACCESS BY-LAW
By-law endorsed by MUTC committee on 11 March 2003.
To ensure equity and fairness for all club members, the following rules have been established.
To maximise MUTC members' benefits, only club members are entitled to use the tennis courts, booked by the tennis club, at the times listed above. Unless otherwise directed by MU Sport staff or MUTC committee members, Courts 1 & 2 are available for MUTC use.
If, while accessing the courts during the above stated times, your membership status is questioned by a club committee member or other club members, you must show proof of membership by presenting your membership keyring. If you are unable to prove your membership status you must leave the courts immediately. (Lost membership keyrings can be replaced at the cost of $10).
If there are other members waiting to use the courts you must:-
- Only play doubles to maximise court use
- If practicing game play - members should play a maximum of one set before allowing other players to rotate onto the courts
- If practicing by just hitting - members should play for a maximum of 15 minutes before allowing other players to rotate onto the courts.
It is the responsibility of all club members to uphold these rules. All club members have the power to enforce these rules and can report non-compliance to the committee via email.
