Flower Sales by
LaDonna Jensen
Discussed Glowing Roses to be
sold for the “Beauty and the Beast” production. Discussed cost and
amount to order, verses impact on other flower sales. We also discussed
flower sales from last year and how it impact what we are able to do for
the rest of the year. Decided we would sell roses for about $4.00 each
and adjust flower sales for second weekend based on sales of “Glowing
Roses”.
Discussed the need to make
the new sign for the booth soon so it will be ready in time for the fall
production and not interfere when we are busy with other projects.
All Day Rehearsal Meals by Mary
Opatz
Meal planning: Breakfast,
Lunch, Dinner and 2 Snacks
We discussed how to make good
meals while still keeping in our budget and planning for the number of
people that we will actually serve.
Meal
prices–$10.00–served 45 last year
Set Destruction Meal will use the extra
supplies from All Day Rehearsal. We must be sure to have enough GOOD
food! There is no charge for food on this day.
Cast Pizza Party by Russell Jensen
We decided to look into
Jimmy’s Pizza in Isanti for placing our pizza order because we have not
ordered from them yet. We will also ask them to be sponsors in the
program. We will need to Reserve the cafeteria for this event.
Breakfast Buffet by
Greg Opatz
Last Year’s Summaries were
discussed. Also discussed the need to reserve the Church Hall. Last
year’s summary show how well the pre-sales helped out the total sales.
We also discussed how all volunteer groups make money by selling tickets
to their own families and friends, Then we talked to Greg Wuerflein
about the possibility of the Isanti Lions hosting another Pancake
Breakfast for us in the Spring. We would still be responsible for
selling tickets and serving tables.
Alumni Night by Mary
Opatz
We decided that the booster
club might need to do the Intermission recognition because it is
important to the Alumni that are at the show to be acknowledged. We
also discussed having small lapel pins made for alumni, sponsor and
booster members. LaDonna Suggested we look into having mugs made
instead. We will we information for these items at the next
meeting.
Silent Auction and
Raffle
We chose to have just a few
silent auction items displayed and bids taken this year. We also think
that if we can get the right item, we will run a
raffle.
Program Advertising Sales
We discussed how important
this advertising is because most of the money we make for the year is
earned in the fall and we use it to fund our entire year! We also
discussed how we went from 20 advertisers two years ago to 12 last year
due to many of our Realtors having difficulties. Things are not any
better this year for them. We brainstormed for some new ideas. Most
important, we determined that it needs to be a team effort to get
sponsors.
The next meeting is Oct 2nd at 6:30pm at
the Opatz home.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:45pm
