Delta Gamma is an international women's fraternity, with more than 150,000 members initiated since its inception in 1873. Founded at the Lewis School in for Girls in Oxford, Mississippi, Delta Gamma's founders strove from the start to "Do Good" - through friendship, service, and scholarship. Today the ideals of our Founders, Anna Boyd Wellington, Eva Webb Dodd, and Mary Comfort Leonard, remain the cornerstone of each and every aspect of Delta Gamma.

Delta Gamma is among the oldest of women's fraternities. Since its founding, Delta Gamma has nurtured a fraternal pride which ensures the strength and progress of the Fraternity for the present generation of members and for those to come.

Women who proudly wear the anchor badge may be found at nearly 140 college campuses across the United States and Canada. Alumnae may be found across the globe, gathering together in alumnae chapters, associations, and hope groups from as far away as London.
