Delta Gammas "Do Good!"

From the beginning Delta Gamma had a commitment to helping others, when the Founders of the fraternity adapted the motto, "Do Good."  From this simple beginning, the good works of Delta Gamma grew into a Student Loan fund, wartime support to a hospital in Holland and home for war orphans in Belgium, and eventually to a national commitment to assist with Service for Sight.

Today the Delta Gamma Foundation has many arms that reach broadly across many areas of need.  Educational scholarships, fellowships, and loans, a wellness program (Well Aware), a career networking system (Cable Connection), and leadership training are only a few of the activities in which Delta Gamma participates.  The traveling art exhibitions, ART OF THE EYE and ART OF THE EYE II, show the works of professional artists who are visually impaired.

The Merrimack Valley Alumnae Association strives to continue the work which was begun in 1873 by our founders by contributing to a wide range
of philanthropic endeavors.
To date, MVDGs have lived the motto "Do Good" by participating in these activities:

Intense involvement with ART OF THE EYE II exhibit in Lowell, Massachusetts

Donations to the Lowell Association for the Blind

Distributing volunteer information for the New Hampshire Association for the Blind

Donations to newly established Delta Gamma collegiate chapters

Collection of Campbell's labels (Labels for Education) to raise funds for the Delta Gamma schools for the blind in St. Louis and Denver
