For my current musings, go to Ramblings' Journal! -- NOTE NEW ADDRESS, http://mhking.mu.nu/!!!
from Ramblings' Journal - 2/7/02 The NAACP, in their infinite wisdom, have decided to create "border patrols" at the Welcome Centers on South Carolina's Interstates. These patrols are supposed to discourage people from spending their money in South Carolina until the state removes the Confederate flag from the state house grounds. Waitaminit - didn't we go through something like this last year? Wasn't there a compromise that removed the flag from the top of the state house in Columbia? Didn't that compromise move the Confederate flag to a historical exhibit elsewhere on the state house grounds? In order, yes, yes and yes. The NAACP says that isn't good enough. They insist that the flag has no place on public property in South Carolina, period. Full Story Reparations for Slavery: TANSTAAFL
